Description: Ellen's Stardust Diner is a retro 1950s theme restaurant located at 1650 Broadway on the southeast corner of 51st Street in Theater District, Manhattan, New York City. The diner is regarded as one of the best theme restaurants in New York. The 1950s-themed eatery is home to its singing waitstaff known as (”Stardusters”). Ellen’s Stardust Diner has since served as the launching pad for many of its waiters/vocalists who have gone on to success in Broadway musicals and touring companies, domestic & international. Our retro 1950s-themed diner is filled with nostalgic memorabilia including the famous “Miss Subways” gallery honoring the beauty queens of a bygone era.

The music was exceptionally good as most reviewers state. The food was better than we were lead to believe. We both had omelets for a mid day pretheater brunch, and they were very good.

If you love broadway and some retro-dining then this is definitely, a must-try! No wonder that they always have a long queue but it’s worth it. Their solo meals are already good for sharingand they serve quick. Overall, it was a very entertaining experience

Went in as a group of 6. Only ordered 2 meals to split since food here is quite pricey (we are not from NY and didnt know what to expect) and our server rolled her eyes and gave us sass over this.
The other staff seemed nice and the singing is very cool, but we felt pretty unwelcome and were reminded multiple times throughout our breakfast that "tipping the singers would be kindly appreciated"

AVOID...... Disgusting processed food, served cold.
Clearly the staff can entertain, and good luck to them trying to catch a break on Broadway, however they should also learn how to serve tables.
Food from the 4 of us went back basically untouched.
I asked for the bill and server did not even mention the fact the food was untouched, just took my card and processed the payment.
As for the "TIP" bucket, made me feel very uncomfortable and almost compelled to add another tip, despite minimum gratuity of 20% added to our bill.
So many choices available in the area, stay clear of this one.
