Victim of a vanished bag in my room with no explanation from the hotel has killed my stay.
the story is unreal :
I had a bag in my room with souvenirs from my kids that I bought at the airport before coming to NY. Souvenirs from Olympics Paris 2024.
last saturday (stayed 2 weeks) the bag was no longer in my room, went to the front desk to ask where it could be, if it was put in the trash by housekeeper by mistake etc.
answer of the manager after enquiry : "The member of our Housekeeping Team mentioned seeing the bag in the room with paper in it, but reported leaving it in the room during service, and no one entered the room thereafter"
"sorry for the inconvenience etc"
so I told them this was completely unreal and insane. A bag doesn't vanished by itself !!! Someone has taken it out !
My kids were very sad as they knew I bought souvenirs for them...
after several exchanges with the hotel manager and absolutely NO EXPLANATION from them, I've asked for a significant compensation for what happened even though it will not replace the souvenirs for my kids which probably are no longer available at the airport in paris...
response from hotel manager : "we cannot accept responsibility or liability for your missing item. We will, however, continue with our investigation and inform you of any findings. As a goodwill gesture, we shall waive three (3) nights worth of tax for a grand total of $103.26"
I told them this was really ridiculous considering the situation, for a company like Hilton...and totally unacceptable. They should have done and could have done much more than this, not counting nights or voucher for a future stay in their hotel.
but NO
so they are saying we take care of the clients etc but in the end we are just clients and not considered. Too bad

small rooms as is the case for most lodging in nyc but space was well used. we got $10/d plus another $18 per person per day for use in the restaurant which we used for breakfast. the alternative to that was 1000 points per stay. there is a fridge in the room. and there were water bottles w wafer snacks placed in the room each day. housekeeping comes daily. fab location. across from chipotle and espresso shop.

I had an incredible stay at Motto by Hilton Times Square! The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the city. The rooms are modern, comfortable, and offer stunning views of the skyline.

A special shoutout to Emanuele at the front office, who went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. His warm hospitality, attention to detail, and helpful recommendations made all the difference

I want to start by saying that i am hilton honors, but have never stayed in a motto hotel before. i booked this hotel after seeing the reviews from tripadvisor. Starting on the good thing that i can say about this hotel it has a good location. After that all is wrong about it: 1. the street is full of homeless right at the front of the hotel, so even though technically is well located, the area is not good 2. The rooms are minuscule (maybe 3m x 3m) for a hilton, maybe smaller than an ibis budget, but this is not a cheap hotel 3. Reception was rude until we said we were hilton honors gold 4. In two different occasions we ordered ice for the room and did not arrive 5. We asked for ice at the bar (because we never got it at the room) and the bartender said it would take 15 minutes for us to get it because it was tending to customers, this would have been reasonable if there were customers in front of him.
Honestly maybe motto is not the type of hilton for us, but they are not worthy of the hilton brand.
Would not go back.

Room tip: Good for solo travelers… backpackers maybe?

Everything was perfect until I see my credit card they didnt say anything and charged extra 243 dollars on checkout day without asking and explaining anything.when I realized I contacted and they said it is deposit and will be backed but it has been a month I had to pay it to my bank and no refund yet be careful

Stayed here for a solo trip and it was a great experience! There was a bit of delay for check in but considering I arrived at 9am, I completely understood and was so happy when my room was ready by noon. The front desk staff was lovely and so helpful. The location of this hotel could not be better. I was visiting to see a bunch of shows and the hotel was perfect for that, right off of Times Square. And it was surprisingly quiet considering where it’s at! No complaints, I will definitely be back for future trips.
