I booked this hotel for my first trip to New York as it was in a central location. when I walked into the hotel the atmosphere was lively, the lady who served me at the desk had a bit of an attitude, when she asked for my credit card, she charged it without telling me that what the charge was for. Nonetheless I met a wonderful member of staff by the name of Mara (I hope I’ve spelt it correctly) she greeted me at the lift and we had a small conversation about my trip to New York, she was super friendly and made me feel right at home especially as I was on a solo trip.
The room was nice and compact with everything in one room. It was so cozy and clean. Hairdryer, steam iron and fridge were also in the room, the fridge came in handy for snacks, cakes and drinks lol. There was also shampoo, conditioner and shower gel.
The tv was great (loved the American channels) so didn’t have the need to use Netflix or anything else as I was entertained. I was there for 5 days but out nearly everyday. On my first night I came back to being guest of the day which then made my day. They had a bar and other amenities but I never used them due to wanting to explore New York but it was busy everyday and the atmosphere was friendly and vibrant. I would definitely recommend this hotel as it’s right smack in the middle of everything and Times Square is a stones throw away.
The only cons were that if you have noisy next door neighbours you will hear them through the walls, someone’s phone alarm kept waking me up at 3am through the walls and was quiet annoying and then the same room decided to have a loud screaming argument on the last day of my trip, but the front desk sorted it quiet quickly.
