Very nice location. In general maybe not a 4 star hotel but 3 star plus. Accomodation is limited. A shame that the fantastic rooftop,is not accessible all day but only at night. Even the standard rooms have a nice city skyline view.

Experience 10/10 - everything was great: people, interiors, food and views. You can wake up in the comfortable bed with the view of the Manhattan skyscrapers! Subway and Roosevelt Tramway is in the walking distance.

We absolutely love the hotel being on a quiet island but in 7mns in center of manhattan with the cable car. The staff is very friendly. We paid for a room with a view and the view was beautiful especially at night. So we highly recommend the graduate hotel.

The hotel location is great, definitely when you have a room with a view on the skyline of Manhattan. Nice room, modern bathroom, all very clean. Breakfast is pretty basic. You can chose between coffee (which if anyway free in the hotel loby) and orange juice and there are three meals (1. Granola, 2. Fresh fruits, 3. Pasteries). For anything else you need to pay extra, even when asking a cappucino instead of a coffee).

We enjoyed our stay at Graduate hotel and we were sad to leave. The hotel is modern and comfortable. Staff is friendly and attentive.
There was a fridge, safe and ironing board in the room. Plenty of space for a
Family of 3. The island itself is so nice, there is a lot to see on the island, nice parks and mesmerizing views of Manhattan. We used the tram, subway, bus and ferry to go to our destinations.
The AC was a bit loud and we missed a coffee machine in the room. However, Coffee was available near the restaurant as of 7:00 am.

My high school daughter and I flew on a spur of the moment to NYC from Alabama to see the Atlanta Braves play the Mets. The last time I was in NYC, I saw Roosevelt Island while crossing the bridge into Queens and was intrigued. When I was planning this trip, I did a Google search of hotels and saw the Graduate Hotel was the only hotel on the island so I booked a room for a couple of nights. The hotel and Roosevelt Island are really cool. Roosevelt Island is super safe. My daughter and I walked around the island at night with no problems. The views of Manhattan are unbelievable. During the day, watching the boat traffic go up and down the river was relaxing. It is super easy and cheap to ride the gondola from Roosevelt Island over to Manhattan. As far as the hotel itself, the staff was super friendly and attentive to any needs. The bar at the top of the hotel has unbelievable views of the river, the bridge and the city. The rooms were quiet, clean and comfortable. There is not much to eat on the island. We ate at Granny Annie's and it was a neat friendly neighborhood pub. I can't wait to go back to Roosevelt Island again soon!
