Great Hotel. Not a fan of the bathroom.

Overall it was a great experience. Rooftop was nice. Pleasant staff. Café was great. The room was small but good for a few days. The only issue was the bathroom, there’s not a lot of privacy since there’s a huge gap between the bathroom sliding door and the room, and the door in our room kept sliding down so it wouldn’t close properly. My partner had to put down our bags on the opposite side of the door while I was in the bathroom to prevent it from completely opening. But that’s about it, if you don’t care about that your experience will be great.

Hip hotel with everything you need for a great stay in NYC

Perfect location, great restaurant and bar on site, and a tidy room with all the products you need. I love staying at the Walker in Tribeca because the room is clean, comfy and exactly what I need in a launching spot in nyc. Great restaurants surround the hotel, subway proximity is perfect and the staff is super helpful.

At least it’s in Tribeca

The rooms are truly the smallest I’ve seen outside of Tokyo. If you are claustrophobic, avoid this place. My room was also very dusty and dirty. There was dirt on the floor, dust in the wardrobe, a dirty sock down by the safe (yuck), and housekeeping did not come despite my request to service my room. On day 2, my AC stopped working and despite hotel materials stating there is always someone available 24/7 to deal with problems like this, the front desk notified me that nobody was there overnight. It took from roughly 12 to 2 am to repair my AC. There’s only one thing worse than being stuck in a tiny room; that’s being stuck in a tiny room with no ability to cool it down. So, no, I cannot recommend the Walker. It was a terrible, dirty sweatbox. But hey, if you ignore my warning…at least you’ll be in Tribeca!

Ok hotel if you have a group rate

+: clean, comfortable bed; pleasant (very youthful) vibe in lobby, café and roof garden; good location for downtown work/play
-: No hanging space for dresses; “King” room would be very cramped for more than 1 person; shower head has to be hand-held to avoid getting drenched; safe at floor level hard to access; lobby dining/working/meeting space is attractive but VERY noisy — ambient music far too loud and unnecessary as most people were wearing ear buds or noise cancelling headphones;
