Frankly, we were tired of the over-priced hotels in the area and was looking for a bed and breakfast when we stumbled on this place. We stayed at a cottage with 2 bedrooms. It was done beautifully and our first night there I grilled a steak and potatoes meal that was as good as any restaurant and priced perfectly. We sat on the porch and watched the goats that would come up to the fence, watched and listened to the white peacock, walked down to the dock by the lake, had dinner at the Seasons Restaurant (excellent A+) and really just enjoyed the cottage and having most of our meals right there. I would recommend the Forsythia to anyone. In fact, while there I spoke to my four siblings about having a reunion this fall or next year.

The property is nestled in a natural spot that includes a lake, wooded walking paths, goats, sheep and a white peacock! It is a very nurturing environment to be in.
The management does an excellent job with all details concerning your stay.
Forsythia has a sunny porch that looks out on the corral of goats and sheep.
I love my time at Henderson Lake!
