They've been talking about lighting up this bridge for years, but so far, it's just a pretty cool looking concrete bridge with lots of signs advising people not to jump. Because it's built for the view, not to prevent suicidal residents from taking the final plunge, there is also ongoing discussion about erecting nets. But other than that--it's just a bridge and it's free. At the rate things get done in San Diego, I'll be too old to drive by the time they resolve all the ethical and artistic issues, and we'll all be driving flying cars anyway. :-)
