Walking distance to the convention area hotels, practically in the backyard of Grand Hyatt Hotel. An assortment of small restaurants and tourist shops selling T-shirts, magnets and other stuff. Interesting that it lacks the usual big brand stores, which is an attraction for some. There is a Harley-Davidson store which I didn’t go to. Part of a very pleasant walk along the shoreline. A nice place to eat and spend a couple of hours. Not big at all. I walked from my hotel. The parking is not free.

Seaport Village has many shops with a variety of items. It is clean and has clean public restrooms. The walkway along the bay is very nice. There is also a wide range of eating options from hot dog stand to fancy dining.

It is still a place that you will want to visit if you come to San Diego. Seaport Village is a great place to walk, talk, eat, relax, sit in the grass, people watch and shop. There are many, many restaurants from cheap Mexican food to expensive seafood. You will certainly find something to eat.

There is a shop here for everyone too. There are t-shirt shops, museums, art galleries, gag shops, candle shops, hot sauce, knick-nacks and everything you would need to buy for all the poor people who had to stay home while you were kickn back in SoCal. :-)

Personally, I would take the trolley here. The Green Line is the trolley you want to be on. However, uber is probably the best option because then you can be dropped off exactly where you want to be. The trolley drops you off a few blocks away.

Overall, it is definately a place to see. Once you have been there, however, there is no real reason to go back.

Walking along the waterfront in San Diego from the Midway towards the Convention Center you find the Seaport Village. It is a wonderful mix of little shops, eateries, and great restaurants. We found many nice souvenirs of San Diego here (especially a fleece jacket to wear when the temperature dropped one night), for very reasonable prices. There is a great assortment with something for everyone.

We ate at the Harbor House, and had a wonderful seafood dinner here two nights. The view was great, and the food delicious. Near the convention center and many of the hotels, this is a quaint reprieve from the city and conference life !

We try to go to Seaport Village every trip to San Diego. Always a great walk with some cool shops. Also the view of the harbor is awesome. Wear comfortable shoes and enjoy the views.
