The photos do not do justice to the amazing location & style of this apartment!! The view of Boston harbor, the Charles river & the lights at night was fantastic. The apartment is newly fitted out with top-spec furnishings and is a true 'home from home'.
Loved it, and having parking makes this place so convenient.
East Boston is a really up & coming & interesting area - and so close to the city!!
Recently rented this condo with 2 co-workers while attending a conference at the BCEC. We had another rental that was cancelled last-minute and were fortunate to be able to secure this property. Teresa (the owner) was very responsive and helpful during the reservation process and directions for obtaining the keys were very clear. We were even given access to the property in order to drop our bags off earlier than check-in time (3pm) since we flew in early and wanted to explore Boston for the day, which was extremely convenient.
The condo is located on the third floor of the building; the easiest access is up the back deck stairs and through the sliding doors. The lockbox was super convenient for us, as we could lock up the keys for anyone who may have been coming back earlier/later than the rest of us (though 2 sets of keys are provided). Be aware that either way (through the front door or back stairs) you will be climbing a significant number of stairs with your luggage! The people immediately downstairs were friendly and there is one off-street parking spot allotted for the rental unit.
The condo itself is located in East Boston (be sure to specify this if you’re taking transportation from the airport, etc.). It’s in what appears to be an up-and-coming neighborhood. Of the two streets that lead down to the condo (they tee out into a “V” shape), one we felt very comfortable walking down and the other we tended to avoid at night (during the day was no problem) just out of an abundance of caution. The area felt reasonably safe but the condo instructions do specify to keep the front door locked at all times, which is understandable as people live in the same building full-time.
The condo was clean and bright, with two bedrooms and two baths, and was recently updated. A queen air mattress with a built-in pump was provided as well (which we used). There is an outdoor deck on the main level and also stairs in the back leading to a separate window’s nest deck on the rooftop, which was awesome. Be sure to sit up there and enjoy the harbor views and the sunshine. There’s a washer and dryer in the unit, and for the most part we found all of the kitchen utensils we needed. Overall, it was very nice and comfortable. The only thing to note is that as renovated as it is, there is little to no insulation between walls so you can hear everything from room to room. Not a big deal, but can be tricky if guests’ schedules don’t line up.
The location of the condo is very close to the airport, but kind of a pain if you need to be across the water near the city-center and convention center. Though it’s close mile-wise, it’s a solid 15-20 minute taxi/Uber ride, longer in rush-hour traffic. Alternatively, the subway station is 0.6 mile walk ($2.75/one-way ticket) or the water taxi pick-up is about 0.5 miles away in the shipyard. The location was really the only downfall for us, only because of where we needed to be on a daily basis. On the plus side, we could get to the airport in a snap!
Overall, I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a reasonably priced rental in Boston. If you plan to be in the city (south of the river) most of the time, however, be aware that there’s definite travel involved that is time-consuming.
The apartment is everything the description says it is. New, beautiful view, nicely decorated, amenities provided. Ten minute walk to the subway with the first stop being downtown Boston. We thoroughly enjoyed this accommodation and would recommend it to friends.
Owner responded promptly to any correspondence.
This place was amazing and had awesome views from both decks. Wonderful location with plenty to do within walking distance. The free Hyatt airport shuttle was very convenient and allowed for a nice stroll around the harbour.
This place is exactly as described and spot on with the other reviews. It is beautifully decorated and very well equiped. There are just no negatives. The weather had turned to absolutely awful and it almost didn't matter because we had this lovely apartment to hang out in and could enjoy the fantastic views. We were dying to be able to sit and enjoy the lovely terraces (there are 2!) but unfortunately weather conditions did not allow for it. Teresa was very helpful in answering any questions even before we had to ask. We can highly recommend this apartment and very much look forward to staying there again.
