Stayed here twice, at the beginning and end of our holiday to New England. As others have said, it's in a perfect location within easy walking distance of Boston Common, Beacon Hill and the start of The Freedom Trail etc. The first room was pleasant enough but noisy, especially when the dustcart arrived early in the morning! On our return visit though, we had a suite which was lovely. The fireplace, the walk in closet and best of all the jacuzzi bath! As others have said though, it's all really dark not helped by the decor and dark furnishings. Better lighting would help. All staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful.

Our second visit to XV Beacon. The hotel is a great location and provides the perfect place to embark on walks to Boston common or the Beacon Hill area to enjoy the Halloween decorations !

Thankyou to Fernando, Gazi and Marc, you are the best brand ambassadors this hotel could have. The heart of the hotel is the meet and greet from these guys and also the hotel car - which they are always obliging to assist and fill you in on local info. This cheery and well trained trio make up for some of the gaps in service which can sometimes be a little frosty or inflexible - so just keep an eye out for these guys they are proactive and very attentive to travellers needs whether it be for work or leisure.

My family and I checked into Fifteen Beacon for what we hoped would be a memorable weekend. Unfortunately it was memorable for all the wrong reasons. We had the misfortune to deal with the front desk manager Daniel. He was rude and unaccommodating at check in. In fact he was so unprofessional in the way he treated us that we checked out of the hotel shortly after our arrival. Having been a guest at numerous fine hotels and being accustomed to good service, it was clear that a hotel that employs someone of this caliber doesn’t deserve our business. Do yourself a favor, go to the Mandarin Oriental. It far outclasses XV Beacon.

This is the gift that keeps on giving. America is a truly welcoming country but Boston goes above and beyond and the XV Beacon goes a bit further than that. A beautiful hitel in a most advantageous position:on Beacon Hill and close to the Freedom Trail, Boston Common for information and the Subway for access further afield. Every comfort was afforded us: from a rooftop terrace giving views as far as the Charles River to a private car to take us downtown when our time was short. Staff who went the extra mile and whose 'have a nice day' sounded like they genuinely cared that you did, rather than the by-rote parroting that is so common. Our room was luxurious: tastefully furnished and provided with everything we could possibly want, from the comfortable bed through the waterfall shower to the gas fire which welcomed us on chilly October evenings. This is an unapologetically higher-priced venue but it is also unquestionably value for money. I would so like to come again!!

We stayed here for one night only, to celebrate my husband's birthday and it was absolutely exquisite. I would have loved to stay longer - and so shall you - but alas, one can only live like royalty for an evening before the bill begins to chafe a bit. Soak up the ambiance - stay in the room, enjoy the fire, sip the wine (they have an absolutely divine in-room wine bar) and try not to cry when you sign out the next morning.
