We spent two nights at the Hilton Downtown/Faneuil Hall and were very pleased with our stay. We found the room quite comfortable with a really nice shower. The restaurant in the hotel which we had both a lunch and dinner in was quite good.

We were very pleased with the management of the hotel. Sometime after our arrival I received a text message from management inquiring if we found everything satisfactory with our room. I replied that we were quite happy with our accommodations. The next morning my wife told me that she found the tub a little slippery while taking a shower. I sent a text message to the contact I had previously received explaining the issue and inquired whether we could get a bath mat to put in the tub. I received a prompt reply saying that they could absolutely take care of that. When my wife and I returned later that morning we found a bath mat had been brought up and placed in the room.

I would definitely recommend this hotel and as others have stated you cannot beat the location.

Lovely property, centrally located. Celebrated our anniversary here and could not have been happier with our selection. Staff and service were wonderful. The room was nicely appointed. Easy walking distance to all major attractions A perfect choice for a visit to Boston

Arriving after midnight, the front desk attendant greeted us with a smile and quickly checked us in. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Areas of tiredness within the rooms are seen, such as small portions of peeling wallpaper or the bathroom needing some updates. The beds were quite comfortable. One of the best features of the hotel is it's fantastic location. It is literally around a block, and around a corner from Fanueil and all of its touristy things. A nice restaurant/bar sits at the base of the hotel, a Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts sits on the same street. And, to top it off, a charming Irish Pub is right next door where sing along Irish music was great fun! I would definitely stay at the establishment in the future.

As a loyal customer to the Hilton chain on our travels worldwide, this hotel left us disappointed! On arrival, the doorman was kind to take our two carry on bags but left them at RECEPTION WHERE my mother and did all the paperwork and were handed our cards/keys with no mention of room number as apparently it is part of Privacy therefore we had to sort out the floor and room number.

Having prepared change of dollars for whoever might have escorted us THAT did not happen. We entered our room. . .having asked for a kettle to use for a hot water bottle it hadn' t been left in the room for us. Instead the coffee maker splashed out hot water out generally missing the paper cups. Supply of tea/ coffee/ milk was scarce.
Where have all the cookies gone?

In the BATHROOM, the plugs did not work for the hair dryer HOWEVER having asked for a better hair dryer four times . . .we are still waiting for one with wet hair.
As I had also booked a separate room for a relative, I checked his appliance and it did work!

BREAKFAST BUFFET STYLE was promised/offered at point of reservation BUT it was a different story at BOSTON DOWNTOWN.
We were given Blue Voucher to the value of $30 each per morning to be used at the FINPOINT Restaurant. We had been assured that there was an agreement!
Every morning, the waiters through no fault of their own presented us with a bill which exceeded our given value BECAUSE we were supposed to calculate taxes and gratuities. Even the BIG BOSS of the restaurant whom we saw a few times failed to see the point!

One evening we asked for a cocktail . . .we were offered a glass full of gin and chilled water decorated with stuffed olives which had better use for a Kebab!

On approaching management Ms Alicia Bianco was VERY APPROACHABLE and understood our frustration by offering a few vouchers to use at the restaurant.

In brief, the house keeping ladies did have a chat to us and said that the hotel is actually managed by a different chain and NOT THE HILTON.

Why not make it clear at point of reservation or even remove the name HILTON which gives idea of grandeur rather than a ** possibly *** star hotel because that is exactly how I would rate HILTON FOWNTOWN BOSTON/FANEUIL HALL.

OUR TRIP WAS WONDERFUL . . .would highly recommend the city of Boston!

Room Tip: not sure as we were given 12th floor with very little view

I recently stayed here on a weekend visit. The front desk and concierge service was excellent. The room was fine. The location is excellent. The only issue was breakfast. As a HHONORS member, I usually have access to the lounge. Apparently this hotel has no lounge, so the offer complimentary continental breakfast instead. That being the case, my wife and I went to the hotel restaurant for breakfast. The service was very disappointing. On day one, they got my wife's order wrong. When we pointed out, the server got visibly annoyed. When we requested condiments, they never came. On the second day, we had to request milk twice. We asked for sugar, which was not provided; it never came. Very disappointing. Other than the restaurant experience, a very good stay.
