“Great location”
Reviewed 12 October 2015 for a stay in September 2015

The location is excellent and area felt safe. Nearby to many tourist spots and areas of interest and also to routes many others eg metro(T) and harbor.
Good food shops nearby also restaurants and bars within walking distance.
The accommodation is comfortable, the room is small but very well set out, nicely decorated and furnished in the style of the building's history.
The kitchen area has a fridge/freezer, gas hob a separate small oven/toaster, there is no microwave but we managed fine.
Thoughtfully supplied with many items a traveler might need also access to wifi and a landline for those of us whose mobile doesn't work abroad and need to call a taxi.
The stairs to access flat are steep and not suitable for people with mobility problems particularly on arrival with heavy suitcases.

“Beautiful Boston!”
Reviewed 19 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 'The Nest'. The property is in an ideal location, within walking distance of Quincy Market, TD Gardens and many other tourist attractions. The apartment is also handily located next to a subway station (the blue line). It was very easy to get to and from the airport.

Pros: Ideal location (as previously mentioned); quirky features such as window seats; well decorated and well equipped; TV with all cable channels; wi-fi access; hairdryer provided (this was especially useful as our cases did not arrive with us in Boston) as well as various other toiletries; fridge/freezer (which was easy to stock thanks to close proximity to stores such as Whole Foods, CVS Pharmacy and Jobi's Liquors!); very nice area and Paul was always quick to respond to any communications/queries we had and dealt with any minor problems quickly.

Cons: Apartment tends to get very hot (although to be fair we had some exceptionally hot days) and although an air conditioning unit is provided, it is quite noisy and cannot be left on at all times. The hike up three flights of stairs was fine for us but might be a challenge for older people.

All in all, 'The Nest' is great for a stay in Boston. It allows you freedom to explore this wonderful city knowing that you have a nice base to work from.

Management Response

Thank you for taking the time to write a thorough review, and great to hear that you enjoyed your stay in Boston.

The feedback on the air-conditioning was helpful. We discovered that the vents (3) were in desperate need of cleaning and this contributed directly to the good operation of the appliance. These portable roll-out air-cons require more frequent regular cleaning attention, and with years of service, it's been a little trooper.

Happy Travels!

“Ideal Place in Great Location”
Reviewed 7 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

"The Nest" was perfect for my stay in Boston - much nicer that a hotel stay. The studio was small but had everything I needed. It was nice to be able to prepare and store food in the kitchen. Whole Foods was only a few blocks away. I also brought home great seafood from Alive and Kicking in Cambridge.

The location was perfect with easy access via the T to the Boston metro area. "The Nest" itself was nicely decorated, clean, and well-stocked with the basics.

I would stay here again in a minute. If you can't do stairs, then you might want to look elsewhere as this is a walk-up.
