I booked at Copley House because I couldn't find anything near where my meetings in downtown Boston were taking place. Check in was smooth and the room at the top of the house was very comfortable. There are quite a lot of restaurants in walking distance and the MBTA Orange Line station was quite close with a nice walk through flower gardens.

Copley House is a great suite of property in an old but leave part of Boston near the main shopping areas and Fenway. Depending on your booing you will be assigned a studio or other room. Check in is at 239 Newton west and the friendly sedate approach to check in was helpful. It was a five minute walk to our accommodation NB if you are unable to deal with steep stairs ensure you make that car on the booking as our studio was a basement which was helpfully furnished with all the kitchenette equipment one could need. A king size bed and little patio. Shower rom adequate if not a little dark, I asked for a replacement bub for the shower nd they did this within 24 hrs. It is a real find as it is a 10 min walk to MTB and 20 min walk to Fenway 4 minute walk to the Christian Science Church Plaza, mapparium and other tourist spots,

Room tip: check with reception if you need easy access to rooms

First time visiting Boston and this was a great location for us to walk to many local attractions. Nice change from the typical chain hotel experience. This felt like true “big city living”. Only negative would be that It was extremely loud at night. Seemed like the windows were open, but they were not. Not a huge problem since we only stayed one night.

The Copley House looks great from the outside, however the inside is dirty and lacking in amenities. They don't provide shampoo or Kleenex. The towels were nice and thick, however we got one towel per person. We had flies, ants, fruit flies and a cockroach in our room. The bathroom had a used bar of soap in the shower. The couch had recent food stains. The carpet had many stains. The shower pressure was terrible, and our AC broke the last night. They graciously moved us to a new room, which seemed slightly cleaner. It was not worth the price we paid.

Room tip: We had to move room due to the AC not working. Room 103 was MUCH better than room 100.

This hotel is on a great location in Boston. 2 mins from great restaurants, the metro , trolley tour bus stops. The hotel reception staff were really great offering lots of suggestions of what was close by when we arrived. The rooms are clean, air conditioned, large comfy beds. They could do with a lick of paint and the bathrooms upgrading ( not exactly a power shower) but when you consider what you are paying and all the massive pluses it is not an issue hence my rating. I would come back if I stayed on Boston again.
