I decided to take my daughter on a trip for the extended weekend and chose this for its location. It was absolutely the right choice! Easy walk to the North End, Aquarium, and Faneuil Hall/Quincy Market. We took a ride share app to the Boston Public Library and did a leisurely walk back because the walk there and back was too long for my daughter, but for me, it was not going to be bad at all; I think less than two miles round trip.
The hotel staff was very kind and knowledgeable. Rooms were clean and very spacious. We requested more blankets and received them within 5 minutes. The hotel has a nice lobby and practices safety in these times of COVID.
My only warning is about the “scenic” view room. We booked a superior room specifically for the scenic view. Although we did have it, it was mostly marred by a large construction project across the street. It was hard to look past that every day. I accepted it for what it was, as construction is not the fault of the hotel. However, in hindsight, I see that others had views of the other side of the hotel, such as Faneuil Hall and Quincey Market, so I feel a bit disappointed with what I got. I should also mention that the dark curtains in my room did not close completely at the bottom, allowing for the construction spotlights...I decided to take my daughter on a trip for the extended weekend and chose this for its location. I should also mention that the dark curtains in my room did not close completely at the bottom, allowing for the construction spotlights to shine through, right in my face as I lay in bed. I fixed that by putting the chair in front of the curtains to hold them closed. I mention all of this less as a complaint and more as a warning to just be aware of the construction view. Still, it WAS scenic and definitely better than no view at all. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and I would definitely stay again; without a doubt. More
