Luxurious and amazing hotel. Staff are professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. Restaurant first class. Location is good, being close to the wharf and within walking distance to most attractions. Environmentally friendly. Highly recommended.

My wife and I have stayed at Langham Hotels on two previous occasions, in Chicago and Melbourne, so it was an easy choice of us when we decided on a seven night break in Boston.
The hotel itself is in a great location in downtown Boston, a short walk from most of the major historic locations, in this lovely city. Our initial impressions of the hotel were extremely favourable, with a dramatic exterior and beautifully presented lobby area. The staff on reception were very helpful and made us feel really welcome during the check-in procedure.
We were allocated a room on the fifth floor, away from the elevators, which we had requested in our initial booking.
Our room was well presented and clean, but we couldn't help feeling that the decor was a little dated, when compared with the other Langham properties we have stayed in, although we do realise that the traditional colonial feel is part of the attraction of this hotel. However, the large bed was extremely comfortable, the air conditioning was effective and noise intrusion from the street outside was minimal. The Langham also left a plate of fresh fruit, some bottled water and a plate of delicious cookies in our room on a couple of occasions, which we felt was a nice touch.
We have tried to be objective about the following comments, but feel we need to mention the level of disturbance we experienced during our stay. When my wife and I check into a hotel, with the outstanding reputation of the Langham, we expect our room to be a peaceful oasis where we can relax after a long day and enjoy an undisturbed night's sleep. Unfortunately, this did not seem to be on the agenda of some of the other guests in the hotel. On a number of occasions, our sleep was disturbed during the night, by doors slamming and people talking loudly in the corridors. In particular, when a wedding party was taking place in the hotel on Saturday night, we both found it impossible to sleep, due to the constant noise from inconsiderate guests returning to their rooms. This continued until 3:30 in the morning, when we were finally able to drift off to sleep.
When we checked out of the Langham, a couple of days later, we mentioned this to a member of staff, who kindly apologised for the disruption, but it was suggested that we were now leaving the hotel, so there was nothing else to worry about! Not the answer we were expecting!
If we were to return to Boston, we probably wouldn't stay here again. This is no reflection on the quality of the Langham, which is a fine hotel, but we do need to be able to have an undisturbed night's sleep.

Not my favorite Langham. The rooms are beautiful, traditional, big bathrooms with nice tub and amenities like sweets at night, turn down and slippers.. Great service as well,. But the lobby is sort of 1950s " glamour" and the chairs are an eyesore in my opinion. The party space on the second floor intrudes on the lobby with noise from wedding parties- so the din takes over the whole entry area. The restaurant Bond is more subdued, but you have to enter through the loud band noise - at least on weekend nights. The hotel has a split personality- elegant and classy in the rooms- and superficial glamour and noise in the lobby, I liked my room a lot but got out of the lobby as soon as possible.

Room tip: Consider the duplex rooms- great loft space and downstairs a nice living room with fold out couch.

The Langham is an amazing and luxurious hotel. The staff are extremely professional and friendly and are happy to assist where possible. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The on-site restaurant is beautiful and the food is great quality. The gym is well appointed (one of the best I’ve seen in a hotel). The location is good, being close to the wharf and within walking distance to most attractions. Highly recommended.

Great stay in Boston! Thank goodness for valet parking. Didn't want to have to fight the traffic. Very courteous staff at all times. The room was fine for our needs. This hotel was in walking distance to the North End and an older section that we walked to. I would definitely stay here again.
