We were looking for a cheap place to stay on Saipan for a month. This was my 3rd visit there. We looked around and finally found the Gold Beach Hotel and paid $450 for the month plus you have to pay for your own electricity (which could cost another $200 if you use the AC alot). The hotel is rigtht next to Beach Road and you can easily walk to the Ocean, maybe about a 25-30 meter walk. It is a 3 story building with a small 4th floor. We were on the 2nd floor. Our room was on the side facing inland towards the mountains. The side on Beach Road has a lot of traffic noise, but you also get a decent view of the ocean. The room had 2 full beds, a small table, a few chairs and that was about it. It has a small kitchen area with one electric heating unit, a sink and some cabinet space. You have to supply your own drinking water. We got 5 gals jugs for $1.50. There is running water but you just should not drink it. Also hot water for the shower. All the floors were ceramic tile. The room was rather large with large windows. The bed was OK but looked to be worn. The biggest complaint for me was the room smelled like cleaning chemicals and the smell was strong in certain areas of the room and never went away. You could eally smell it when first going into the room, then I think one gets used to it. It had a small 19" TV too with cable. There was also a connection for the internet, but internet speed very very slow. You can wash your own sheets or pay an extra $50 and they will clean the room twice a week for you and wash the sheets for the month. The AC worked well. There is a pool in back but it empty as it needs fixing. You also have to take out your own trash. And buy your own toilet paper. Also has a small refridgerator with a very small freezer section. Over all, the room was OK, but the smell was bothersome. I dont know if all rooms smell like that or not but ours did. But it was a cheap ok place to stay for the month. There are places to eat but you have to walk a little ways. Also a small store on the bottom floor outside.

Room Tip:If you like the view and don't mind the noise, get a beach side room, otherwise get one that...
