Comfortable bed, friendly staff and clean room and bathroom.
Housekeeping came everyday and although the room was small, it was perfect for two people.
The hotel is also really close to Union Square and the Westfield shopping centre

This hotel was in a great position for access to the attractions. Friendly front desk staff. The room was slightly disappointing and the carpet smelt . We should have complained but we didn't. For over $270 night it should have been better.
Quite nice bar but the so called 'Happy hour' wine was disgusting.
Didn't try the restaurant but the food sounded appealing on the menu.
We realised that San Francisco is a very expensive city and you do not get value for your money. I thought that Napa would be expensive but not compared to here.

Dear soot30,

Thank you for posting your candid feedback about your stay with us. I am very sorry to learn that some of our services did not match the high standards set by our Front Desk team’s hospitality and our central location in downtown San Francisco.

I will make sure to share and discuss your comments with the departments in charge of the aspects of your stay that were less than perfect, specifically Housekeeping and Food and Beverage.

Hotel rates in San Francisco do reflect supply and demand, but also the inherent costs of doing business in the Bay Area. We make all efforts to offer a competitive rate to our guests and offer a good balance between rate and value. Your comments greatly assist us in learning where we can improve and where we are meeting expectations.

Thank you once again for taking the time to provide your feedback. We sincerely hope to have a new opportunity to welcome you again to our hotel.

Sincerely,

Kris Betz

Stayed here in December 2017 (bit of a late review!)
Location: super close to union square took about 5 mins to walk there just straight up Geary.
Rooms: Small but clean and comfortable
We would recommend this hotel for couples (cant comment on families as i think it would be too small but there may be bigger rooms).
It was a little "rough" if you walk out of the front and to the right. HOWEVER, we were never hassled and it didnt bother us too much

Dear talialouise86,

We really don’t mind a late review, especially if it is five stars!

Thank you so very much for keeping us in mind and sharing your good experience with the Tripadvisor community after your stay last December. I am delighted to see that you found our location convenient and our rooms comfortable. I fully understand the “rough” reference about the San Francisco streets. We believe that being walking distance to Union Square and upscale flagship stores offers a great way to minimize chances of experiencing an undesired neighborhood.

Once again, a big thank you for your great review. We sincerely hope to have a new opportunity to welcome you back to the Warwick San Francisco very soon.

Sincerely,

Kris Betz

We just checked out of this hotel and miss it already! Best location- close to union square and within reasonable walking distance to most things! Staff are super friendly and so helpful! Matthew in the hotel bar is a passionate cocktail master and made our night-in fun and relaxing! Rooms were tastefully decorated and super comfy beds! Housekeeping were also super friendly and considerate! Would definitely stay here again a heartbeat! In relation to previous comments regarding the location to Tenderloin - homelessness is an issue in the city but not once did I feel unsafe near the hotel or harassed in anyway! It’s everywhere throughout the city sadly but they tend to blend in to the San Fran landscape!

If you are visiting SFO, then book the Warwick hotel. The staff are outstanding. Their warm and friendly welcome was a testimony to their service. Fred at the front desk was exceptional.
The room was very clean and well maintained. They also have complimentary tea and coffee making facilities which is great.
A 5 minute walk to all types of public transport.

We will definitely return again!
