We stayed from 9-15 September.
The room was good and the bed comfortable
It was handy to the central city.
Reception staff were friendly.
Room clean and tidy.
We went to the restaurant attached and were underwhelmed with the service. We were left waiting for 25 minutes one morning and 20 minutes another morning to be shown a table for breakfast, despite empty tables. We had to sit down and wait at the front.
At the same restaurant (evening) we didn’t give the 18%-20% tip required because our waiter wasn’t that attentive. He came back with the folder and said he didn’t understand what the money was for ? When I said a tip he said “I’m sorry I didn’t pay enough attention and stormed off ! We don’t tip in NZ.
I’ve given the hotel a 4 only because I’m unsure if the restaurant belongs to the hotel but it was on the same premises and we had to just walk through the open walkway inside.More
