Just past Hilton hotel start of public beach with adjacent sizeable park. Beach is sand and free of large rocks. Nice area to start beach walk towards other Tumon hotels which also border beach.

Great park, even has playground for the kids. View is fabulous and the swimming, snorkling and playing in the clean white sand is great.

Ypao is my go to park. I like going at sun up. There are a few runners but the place is pretty quiet. I'll get in some exercise and end with snorkeling. It is not the best kept park as people leave trash on the beach. The water is shallow. The advantage in snorkeling is being close to the fish. There are lots of varieties. By afternoon the water heats and is less refreshing. You may see a shimmer (with mask or googles) of fresh and salt water mixing.

Please, preserve the reefs. Do Not Stand On Them! I saw one group of tourists standing on a coral head. They wiped out 5 years of growth in 5 minutes.

I love this beach. There is trash, there is noise, there is lots of people but in the early mornings there is the sunrise, quiet swims and wonderful snorkeling.

Ypao Beach Park is a free access for public and tourist. All kinds of Islands activities going on there for free. Great place for family picnic and tourist. All kinds of water events going on in Tumon area with an affordable price.
