Hotel's Favourite
The whole family had a fantastic time. Yep the hotel is old but the pools and water park are well maintained and they’re basically the star of the hotel. Kids have an amazing time at the water park. We had satisfactory meals at the hotel’s restaurants as well though we only got daily breakfast and went to the Japanese ramen restaurant on site for dinner one night. All round good.

Now the hotel is clearly old, but it looks like efforts have been made to maintain it. We got the cheapest room standard oceana A and it was comfortable, what matters the most the strong air conditioning and the soft beds - they get right. They also show attentiveness to the needs of guests. There is a drying rack for you to dry your clothes in every room, they know you’ll need it as a beach resort where almost all the guests would have spent time in the ocean or pool.

Why PIC is so popular among tourists, is that it caters to the needs to the guests and merrymaker in mind, thinking beforehand what the guests need.

On the last trip to Guam, I booked a hotel that’s cheaper but did not face the sea like PIC. We took a short walk across the road to the ocean to snorkel with our own snorkels and I laid out a picnic mat and one person had to guard the bags with our phones and we used the public facilities.

This time It was absolutely liberating at PIC this time everything is taken care of. We strolled from our hotel room to the beach after a heavy satisfying breakfast at Skylight and used the hotel’s deck chairs on the beach. We have the option of leaving our phones in the room and strolling to the beach from our room. There are also lockers available at the pool area. We ordered food at Sihecky’s shack while chilling at the pool all day. We can borrow life jackets, snorkel, water shoes, they even loan out sandcastle play kits to guests! That’s how thoughtful they are. You can literally just go on your vacation with only your swimsuit.

Staff are kind and friendly, and the lifeguards are very alert and vigilant!

Everyone come here for the waterpark and it does not disappoint. Very crowded and the lifeguards have a lot of rules which results in a lot of whistles being blown. Overall rooms were bland and underwhelming. Location is great. private beach is perfect. The beach bbq place only has one dish but it is very tasty.

The Pacific Island Club Hotel in Guam is an absolute nightmare. The first thing you'll notice is the presence of cockroaches in the stairwells. But that's not all. The hotel also has a host of hidden charges that they conveniently fail to mention while booking. The added burden of these extra charges can hurt your budget, leaving you feeling like you were ripped off. They spring this on you at the last-minute check-out when you're trying to go to the airport to catch your flight. This leaves you back into a corner, and they strong-arm you out of your money.

It can be frustrating to encounter staff members who need more proficiency in English, as this can make effective communication impossible. Even the simplest requests can be difficult to convey, and you may feel stranded and helpless. This can make an already difficult situation even more unpleasant.

Overall, the Pacific Island Club Hotel in Guam is an absolute disaster. It's a shame that a hotel with such a prime location can have such a poor standard of service. While this hotel has previously been highly regarded, my most recent experience did not meet my expectations. Some areas may be where improvements could be made to enhance the overall guest experience. Do not be lured by the waterpark. The hotel waterpark is extremely overcrowded, with no space to move around due to selling tickets to people staying outside the hotel to make money. The hotel does not reinvest profits back into the hotel as run done once you past their flashy entrance. Last stay at this place. The review leaves me sad to write, but i don't want your family to have the experience that I had.

It has become an AVOID AT ALL COSTS place.

Room tip: Get to the pool early in the morning to get your seats due to the overcrowding.

1st the front desk staff is made up almost entirely of college interns. The lack of experience cost me multiple hours correcting their errors with the managers and my travel dept. 2nd this place is run like a prison, you eat at this time, you swim at this time, you can not bring that item to this area. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing place this is NOT it. The only good thing was the cleaning staff Mactee took care of my room and did an exceptional job! Tinton on the maintenance team was very nice and friendly everyday. All and all I will never stay at this place again.

Room tip: Make absolutely sure you check your bill BEFORE you leave!!!!

I was wondering why I missed writing a review for our visit here. I think mainly because it was pretty uneventful (for me). When we visited last year, the place was pretty empty yet our room was far from the lobby. Long walk esp. for guests like us who rented a car for the weekend. Parking was also a hassle - such a long walk to and fro, esp. it was raining that weekend we visited Guam. For such a big resort, there's definitely not much choices for eateries in the area. Be prepared to drive in and out. Another hassle. Staff was hit and miss. Now you see them, now you don't. The room, bathroom and hotel amenities are all up to par - as expected. Clean and comfortable.
No frills. It served its purpose. My teen son did enjoy some of their water activities but he informed me that he specially liked the PIC in Saipan better. I think this PIC is best for younger children than teens, who prefers bigger or more thrilling slides. However, my wife enjoyed taking lots of pictures around the resorts. Lots of scenery and "instagrammable" spots for her.

Overall, definitely not bad experience for us. No regrets. A must visit at least once in your lifetime esp. if you have frequented PIC Saipan.

The hotel is fine. It is big and a bit old but comfortable. It's also fairly clean, and that's important. Free parking is also a huge bonus. The main draw is and should be the enormous water park and beachfront, which has days of activities for kids and adults. The kids won't want to leave. All activities are included in the rate so it is a great deal on that score. My biggest gripe is the food and other amenities. The restaurants are so overpriced I thought they were being sarcastic, so be prepared to rent a car and eat literally anywhere else. You do have a fridge in the room, though, as well as communal microwaves, so grocery shopping is also an option. Ultimately, the main reason to come is the waterfront and awesome activities, which are as advertised.
