My son told us to check this place out as Chef Sheldon Simeon was a Top Chef finalist. We are so glad we did, just wish we had gone earlier in our trip so we could have returned for 2 or 3 trips to try all on the menu. Only draw back is it is small, most customers do take out either call in or on line ordering. not much room to sit and eat. If you have to wait , it's worth it! Hours are 10AM - 2PM . get there early!

This place is special. Only open for lunch 10-2. Food is delicious and there are special dishes daily. Prepare for a line outside the door, but it moves quickly. Seating is very limited to a stool/counter along the front window and bench seating outside storefront. Lots of carry out orders. Go to Tin Roof for the food, not the cuisine and you won’t be disappointed. Friendly and helpful Service is only at the cash register where orders are placed and paid for in advance. They will call your name when your order is ready.

This place is recommended in Frommes travel book as THE place to go upon arrival and as such, that fact reminds me that Travel book recommendations are one person’s opinion....he’s mine.

This place is not small, it’s tiny, 20 feet wide and about 6 feet in front of the order counter. There are 8 metal high chairs to sit at a counter against the window. Some benches outside. The staff yells at each other while cooking, there was someone in the store room banging on something, a power mixer was whizzing, the music was blaring and the place was fairly crowded. Not a good experience at all after a minimum 6 hour flight. The pork belly bowl, their speciality, was dry and had little flavor, it cost $10 with brown rice. This place was no better than the food court at the airport. At least the food court has a decent place to sit.

This may be a great local take out place (still the food didn’t warrant such attention) but as the place to go after flying from the mainland....ah, NO. There are a couple of casual, local sit down restaurants in the same strip mall area....I should have gone there.

Stopped at this place just after landing in Maui for quick takeout. Everything tasted good. Had the garlic shrimp and my husband had the chicken sandwich. About $20. Portions size a little small but we were starving after a long flight. Hope to go back to try the garlic noodles.
