We visited in April and had a wonderful stay on Big Island.
Condo 14C was exactly what we hoped for. It was a great place from which to explore and we packed so much in to our all too short stay. Communication with owner excellent and Ocean Club a great spot to watch the sunset.
We are totally in love with Hawaii and will return.
We spent a week in this beautiful condo, and loved every minute of it! The check-in process was smooth and easy, the condo was tidy and well-stocked, the location is PERFECT. Small details that we appreciated: the closet full of beach accessories (chairs, umbrellas) for us to use, the beers and wine waiting in the 'fridge, and even the BIRTHDAY CAKE for us to celebrate with! So thoughtful!
We particularly enjoyed the pool and bar area--a great place to spend an afternoon after a day at the beach!
I would recommend this unit to anyone and everyone. Have a great time!
This condo has a wonderful location at Waikoloa, an upscale resort area on the sunny Kohala coast of The Big Island. The condo itself is one of the best locations on the Halii Kai property - ground level and ocean view to die for! Whales, whales and dolphins every day while we drank our coffee on the lanai. Steps to the gorgeous pool for drinks and sunsets (or from our lanai). Nearby A-Bay beach for swimming in calm waters or kayaking and SUPs. It is also within 10 miles of 6-8 gorgeous beaches like Hapuna Beach or Mauna Kea Beach.
Peggy keeps this condo sparkling clean, everything repaired and up to date. There is everything you need to cook and BBQ, beach towels, beach chairs, sand toys, books, DVDs and comfortable beds with nice bedding. Washer and dryer in the unit.
We have rented this unit 3 times now and will definitely keep coming back!
Our family of four adults just returned from two wonderful weeks on the unique Big Island of Hawaii. We stayed in unit 14C at the Halii Kai Resort in the Waikaloa Resort area. This is a great two bedroom, two bath oceanfront unit and Peggy, the owner, is great to work with. The Halii Kai is a quiet, gated development and our unit looked out onto the lava field which extended down to the water. We spent every morning and many evenings on the lanai enjoying the breeze and sounds of the ocean and the birds. This unit is close to the pool and the Ocean Club Bar/Restaurant which served excellent food and drinks. Again, the atmosphere of the pool area was quiet and never overly crowded. If you're looking for more action, you are just minutes by car or walking from the main part of the Waikaloa resort area which offers shopping, dining, and endless vacation activities. As far as the unit itself goes, you get exactly what is advertised and more. It was the best stocked unit we have ever rented. You show up with your suitcases, you run to the market to get your own personal food and drinks and you'er set to go. The activity closet has all sorts of equipment for almost any activity you could think of: beach chairs, beach towels and umbrellas, snorkeling gear, tennis gear, binoculars, ice chests in all sizes, etc. If you are into golf there are numerous courses in the immediate vicinity. The Big Island offers some amazing and different experiences than the other islands, like viewing red hot lava in Volcanos National Park, exploring lava fields and lava tubes, and viewing the worlds most powerful telescopes at 14,000 ft on the summit of Mauna Kea. It also offers all the other activities the State of Hawaii is known for. The Big Island and this unit will not disappoint. Aloha!
We so enjoyed all of the fine details Peggy has spent to make our week super enjoyable. The entertainment closet was so helpful. Used the binoculars daily to see whales swimming by from the patio. The beach equipment was much appreciated especially the umbrellas. Would not have had so much fun at the local beaches because the sun is quite intense. A daily cup of coffee supplied by Peggy was most welcoming too. Highly recommend staying here.
