“Relaxing retreat”
Reviewed 16 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

This a very spacious and lovely home that has been recently renovated. The huge garden and great verandah make for a very pleasant setting and great exploring for the kids. Our 8&10 year old boys had lots of fun finding frogs in the garden, the frogs serenade you all night but are lovely. The manager Danny was so helpful with our booking and then very kindly posted us things we had left behind. The location is about 45 minute drive to the volcano which is great if you want to go to see the sunrise. Thanks again Danny for all your help Mahalo

“Tropical Plantation Paradise”

Had an amazing stay at Malama House! When I first drove in I was awestruck by the beauty of the huge landscaped yard. So many different tropical trees and plants. It's truly a jungle paradise! Then I walked up the wrap around lanai that overlooks all the beauty of the surrounding landscape. The house is so big, open and CLEAN. Great for a nice dinner party on the lanai or a family gathering. Very comfy bed in the master suite and a double headed shower with window looking out to the garden. The kitchen is big with nice granite countertops and open to the rest of the house and lanai. Really, the best place I've stayed in Puna!
