This is a beautiful large home. Everything has been prefect. The owner has stayed in touch but we haven’t met. The location and grounds are beautiful. The pictures don’t do it justice. If you need more room there’s a house next door also for rent.
I sure hope we return but for now just going to enjoy Paradise.
Don’t question Hilo, to me Hilo is the most beautiful place of all. We have been to Kauai, Maui and Oahu.
This house is amazing. We should of stayed here our entire vacation. Home has everything you need. Kitchen well stocked, plenty of beach towels for everyone. Mineral pool amazing. Loved having morning coffee out on the beautiful deck. Loved the wooden table on front porch. My son wanted to pack it into his suitcase and take it home with him lol. Music from the night time critters was awesome. We also got visits from Taco.Lot's to do on the Hilo side, besides the Volcano. We stayed on Kona side the second part of our trip and we all agreed this home was by far so much better and enjoyable. If you want traffic, neighbors, congestion and sirens, stay in Kona. If you want a relaxing, secluded true Hawaiian experience with all the luxury this home has to offer, this is where you want to be. Cant wait to return!
This House had everything you could asked for and more. It was in the perfect location to hit attractions on both sides of the Island of Hawaii. The owner was a perfect host. Had Car trouble the first night there and she sent one of her workers out to help after the car rental place was having a hard place getting me help. WE had two family's staying there and the house was big enough for us to not run into each other and still be able to have meals together.
We loved staying in this amazing home (all 8 of us)! We arrived after staying in an oceanfront home on the Kona side for a week.....and my family said they loved the Melemele home best! Enjoyed the front porch immensely, mineral pool was a treat, quality furniture and fixtures. The master bath is to die for! Loved the visits from "Taco". Owner prompt in addressing a few minor issues. This home is an island retreat...tropical and homey. Akaka falls is super close, Ed's Bakery is a must, Tex Drive In for hot malasadas, Botanical Garden, Pineapples for dinner in Hilo, Waipio Valley tour, zip lines, Carlsmith Beach Park for swimming and turtles! Thank you for sharing your home with us!
