This hotel is in the heart of downtown Jackson and has a delicious restaurant within walking distance of your room. The details are well thought out but subtle. The staff is friendly and accommodating. It's just cozy enough to make you feel at home but laid back enough that you wont feel out of place.

Very attractive renovation of a 1950s motel. Very updated, décor not too rustic. Free coffee, with good pastries available in the lobby. Really good restaurant/bar tucked into the complex. Friendly, young staff.

Thanks for staying with us febeach2018. So glad you enjoyed the renovation of our hotel. It was a fun project to work on. It was important for us to keep the building tied to the history of Jackson and this location. We used to be a blacksmith shop that was converted into a hotel in the 50's. That is where the Anvil name came from. See you next time you are in Jackson Hole!

I enjoyed using the bicycles to ride in the Elk Refuge nearby. I also liked the covered deck with chairs outside our room. CAUTION: Not all rooms have air conditioning...ours did NOT! So confirm this during your reservation. Overall the room was above average in quality and cleanliness.

So excited you took the bikes to the Elk Refuge. That is one of my favorite places to walk with my dog before work. Thanks for the heads up for our potential guests on rooms with air conditioning. All of our Cache Building Rooms offer air conditioning. As well as the Glenwood Queen and Glenwood Full rooms. We just installed AC this week in those two room types.

Great place. Very friendly staff. Dogs in the lobby for travelers to get their puppy fixes was a great touch. Walking distance to anything in the downtown area.

Room was a little small but the charm of the place made up for that.

Very nice accommodations including cleanliness, roominess and friendly staff. The downfalls would be pricing was a little high compared to comparable rooms in the area, but we wanted to be close to downtown and the other thing is our room was an upper floor, corner room and it was a little stuffy at night, but otherwise I would recommend The Anvil.
