The chimes continue to work, however; the Pied Piper tale does not. We sat around with another couple waiting for the tale to begin. When it didn't, I went into the cheese shop to ask about it. The clerk said it quit during the pandemic and would probably not be started back.
I was so glad that we were able to find this to hear the Pied Piper tale. It should be publicized more.
We watched the story unfold as the clock chimed and the Pied Piper and the story’s characters moved across the clock. It was delightful!
A maintenance person graciously curbed his cart’s noise so we could shoot a video. He was also engaging in conversation.
Only takes a few minutes at the top of each hour. Be a kid again and take it in!
So, this is more of a little courtyard than a "village". It's basically just shops designed on the outside to look "bavarian". Cute. We didn't get a chance to see the little "show". If we did, I'd consider maybe adding 1 to my rating. Carr Valley Cheese & a jerky shop are on the "square". The shop under the clock sells personalized wood crafts. If we hadn't been visiting those stores, we wouldn't have bothered to go out of our way to see this.
This little place is right next to the Carr valley cheese shoppe and has a clock called the glockenspiel that tells the story of Hamlin and the children on the hour. Really cool to see/hear.
This is a place to visit while you are touring the shops on main Street. It is quaint and fun to take pictures there.
