I stayed here with some friends in July/ August 2013; it is a lovely authentic house in an old style Cypriot village.
There were 4 of us staying but as it’s a one bedroom house, 2 of us were downstairs on the bed settee. This worked out really well as it was warm and sunny outside so we kept the living room as a bedroom for the week; preferring to enjoy breakfast on the balcony overlooking the coastline.
We spent the week enjoying some lovely local restaurants mentioned in the information booklet left for guests; my favourite was Psarapolous in Latchi, where we had a fish meze sitting outside along the beach front to enjoy our dinner.
The house itself is situated on the edge of a very quiet old style working Cypriot village, it has everything I would need on holiday and more, including a washing machine, fully equipped self-catering kitchen and indoor and outdoor eating areas. There’s even a slow cooker in case you want your tea ready when you get home from a long day at the beach, although the BBQ in the garden was probably our favourite for the week. The bottle of wine left out for our arrival was also very welcome after a long flight and late arrival! During the day we either went off into Paphos and Polis to wander round the tourist sights and take a dip in the sea or we stopped at the house and sunbathed and read our books – it was a fight for the hammock each morning!
I would definitely stay here again; it had everything we needed and was the perfect compromise between wanting to be able to go the beach and the town without being right in the center so we could enjoy the peace and quiet and get a feel for what Cyprus is really like.
