Spent a week here with my sons. The cabins are rustic, but have everything they need. The other guests seemed to enjoy their time here as well! We went boating, fishing (but caught a fraction of what the seasoned fisherman here caught) and just enjoyed the cooler weather overall. The resort is on a small island so it was nice to be able to walk on the road around the island and not worry about traffic or getting lost. The town is midwest simple with a couple of great restaurants to watch a game in. Oh, and the cabins only get about 3 channels! great reason for my kids to not touch a remote control for a week! the wifi is a bit spotty though, and at times i had to sit on the porch of the main house to get a connection.
The owner is very nice and made sure we had all we needed. He recently purchased the property and is making all kinds of improvements to it but fortunately keeping the feel of a 75 year old camp. We will be back!More
