One quick night, but this turned out to be a great, inexpensive place to stay. Just off the interstate. Staff was wonderful and the breakfast was free and sufficient. Not a ton of restaurants nearby, but the parking was free and the room was spacious.

Stayed one night while driving through, so I selected this hotel for location, value and reliable brand.
Parking, Check in and check out were easy. Room was incredibly spacious and clean. Even though the hotel abuts a busy train track I could not hear any train noises while in the room. Slept great.
The area where the hotel is located is easy to get to from the highway, but is mixed use (housing, churches, industrial and schools). Was relieved to see security regularly patrolling the hotel area. Since I arrived around 9pm, the area restaurants were closed. Luckily there was an open Krogers within a five minute drive.
Breakfast was easy and uncrowded. Would stay again.

We have had a chance to stay in Charleston, WV in the past and this is our second time coming back to this city from Staunton, VA. In the past, we have stayed at the Marriott Charleston, but this time we decided to give Fairfield Inn & Suites Charleston a try due to the great reviews posted here.
As a Titanium Marriott Bonvoy elite member, I felt that all my requests and expectations were more than met with this hotel. The hotel's team members were more than friendly and responsive. They were more than accommodating with my room requests and felt that everything went well. The breakfast was decent and follows the same trend as other sister properties. In addition, housekeeping staff was attentive and friendly at all times.
Their one-bedroom suite is extremely spacious. Approximately 550 sq. ft., the suite separates a giant bathroom, living room, and bedroom as well. Compared to other Fairfield Inns that I have stayed in the past, I enjoyed having such a spacious shower and two hand sinks, making the room a great place to stay. In addition, the staff allowed my dog to stay with us and they were really kind to it.
I definitely recommend this hotel and will definitely come back when I have to come back to Charleston, WV. I felt it is well managed and provides the needed accommodations for a short and long-term stay.

Stayed here one night on way to NC. Hotel is difficult to find off freeway. Location was in business area with only a few restaurants close by. (10-15 min walk). Staff was friendly and rooms were clean.

This was convenient for a trip to took to OH, so we stopped for 1 night. Nothing special about the hotel. It was clean, and we were comfortable in our room. Where it lost points was for the complimentary breakfast. We did not see a single other person wearing a mask in the breakfast area, which is fine because we all have to make our own choices. But when you watch unsupervised kids touching everything without using the provided tongs (bagels, etc) that wasn't okay. While we're still in these strange times, they need to try something a little different for their breakfasts.
