The entire hotel reeked of smoke even though it’s a non-smoking hotel. Even the mattresses smelled. There was trash left in our trashcan from the previous occupants and the place is run down in general. The breakfast offerings weren’t great. Two choices of cereal, some bagels and bread, yogurt, and you can make a Belgian waffle.
As a solo traveler I look for a safe, clean, quiet place to get a good nights sleep…I got all that here
Room was clean except for some stains on the floor…accidents happen.
The only con to me was the floor was squeaky in areas…not a con for me but a concern for the people in the room below me. The squeaky floor was near where I had my suitcase and there really wasn’t any other place to put the suitcase
I don’t eat breakfast at the hotels I stay in so comments about breakfast quality don’t concern me. I prefer to support local restaurants and diners.
We (sister and I) stayed in this area to attend a wedding near Cambridge Ohio.
Also, visited Blennerhasset Island on Saturday morning. Thought we would get a room in Cambridge area for Saturday night. Decided to extend our stay at Mineral Wells instead. Nice room, nice staff, good breakfast, clean motel. Would recommend to anyone traveling in that area. Also, island tour was interesting (not open year round so check times on that).
This trip was nice. It was midnight and every body there and check in very nice. The room was spacious and clean. The checkout procedure was A1 we checked out at the checkout around 11. Also, the parking lot was well illuminated.
Hotel was clean, but location was poor and breakfast was probably the worst I’ve ever had. The only options they had for breakfast were waffles, yogurt, and packaged muffins. No eggs, no breakfast meat. Hotel is also right beside a ratchet strip club.
