I was the Group Leader on this trip and we stayed at this hotel on our way back home from Charleston, SC. The staff was courteous and helpful and our rooms were ready when we arrived. However, I was disappointed that our bus driver was put in another building than the rest of us. As we were there on a Friday evening, breakfast on Saturday was not served until 7:00 AM, and many of the travelers were early risers, so this was a bit disappointing also.
We will never stay here again.

We booked online and arrived around 11 pm. When we got to our floor and our room, we heard a dog barking. Even though no pets were allowes. Upon entering our room it smelled of dirty dog. We turned on the lights and saw 2 bugs scurrying off on of the beds and stains on the comforter. We only needed to sleep so decided to make the best of it. I obtained a new comforter from the front desk and told her about the dog. When back in the room I was about to enter the bathroom and saw something brown sticking to the door. Sure, could have been chocolate but pretty sure it wasn't. Thankfully the front desk employee was able to move us to another room so we could get a few hours of sleep.
Also, this hotel was listed as Comfort Inn with decent reviews. The Quality Inn had very poor reviews. Turns out it's the exact same facility with 2 names. Had all of the hotels in the area not been price gouging due to the BSA National Jamboree we would have never stayed here. Next time with only 4 hours to drive at 11 pm I will just drive straight through.
They should have pain us to stay. Old, Old place. Terrible bath room, worm out toilet seT, no hot water. 1 set of towels. NO coffee or coffee maker in the room.
No parking near the ground floor room we requested.......clear around the backside of the hotel up against the freeway.

Multiple buildings on the same property. We stayed in the Comfort Inn. Recently renovated, clean room, firm bed, good breakfast. We accidently left two pillows (obviously not theirs) in the room - no phone call or email to ask us what to do about it. So one point off for that.
So this hotel seems to have an identity complex. It's listed here on TripAdvisor as Days Inn but the sign says Quality Inn / Comfort Inn. They even asked at the desk when I checked in " Quality Inn or Comfort?" Kind of strange.
Anyway, the hotel itself is nice and looks like it was recently remodeled. The area it's in seems safe enough and if you go north on Maccorkle Avenue there are plenty of restaurants and stores. Getting to it was easy, right off the freeway. The driveway is right next to the McDonald's entrance.
The rooms are clean and the bed is comfy. Still don't know why they put carpeting in when they remodel these hotels. There was a small microwave and refrigerator in the room.
I'd say my biggest and only real complaint was the TV. No high-def and the standard definition was less than standard. Terrible picture and almost hard to watch. You can't try and make it better by changing the settings either with the remotes they have. Was going to use my Firestick, but again the remote they have won't let you change the inputs to HDMI.
Breakfast was pretty good and your standard Hotel breakfast. They did have proteins like eggs and sausage as well as the usual waffles and cereals.
The price was reasonable considering the new higher prices for everything. Even with the TV problems, I would stay here again for a night or two.
