This is no longer a Days Inn. I booked it as a Quality Inn, but there was also a Comfort Inn sign on the building. Hotel, looks to be recently remodeled and clean. Neighborhood is a little shady lots of people hanging around outside after midnight. There is no elevator in the building to the left. Be prepared to carry your luggage upstairs.
Location has been undergoing renovations for what seems like forever. it kind of looks like they started to stop and haven't resumed. The staff are not the friendliest. The staff were also not always wearing masks. U
We stayed in the building on the left and our door wouldn't lock, there were black markings on both bed spreads, small holes in the blanket, large stains on the chair & ottoman, grease marks on arms of chair from hands, and a chunk of food ground in the arm. Then the sink was clogged. Moved two doors down and still the bedspreads had black markings on them, holes in the blanket, small stains on the chair and ottoman. We were too tired to move to another room so we got a few hours sleep then left. I'm not sure who to write to first, Days Inn or Wyndham.
When we checked in, we paid $20 extra for our small dog. The hotel has pet-friendly rooms that are isolated in one part of the hotel. We were given a room that smelled so intensely of urine, it was impossible to stay there. My kids were holding their noses. The front desk lady was very helpful within the powers that she had and gave us another pet friendly room. That room smelled marginally better, but still reeked. It had stains all over the bed spreads and the chair was so stained that it was unusable. Despite being a non-smoking room, we found a cigarette by the bed that housekeeping had missed. We stayed there out of necessity as we were traveling home the following day and it was already late for our two small children. Essentially, I paid $20 extra for my well-behaved dog and was given a room that we literally could not take our shoes off in because it was so disgusting. The Days Inn promise that you can "expect clean, comfortable rooms" was certainly not applicable here. We left a message for the manager to call us to make him aware of the situation and received no response.
Front desk check in was very shady. Charged my card $150 for "incidentals". I have stayed at Marriott Grand Resort properties before and only got charged $20 per night for incidentals. No breakfast due to Covid. Lots of shady people hanging out by the buildings. One guy was asking all guests for money. Tried to report this to the front desk but nobody answered. Good thing it wasn't a major emergency! At least the room was clean and updated recently. There are MUCH better places to stay in the immediate vicinity.
On a side note, why is it that every Wyndham property is run down and run by shady people lately? I've deleted the app and absolutely REFUSE to stay at a Wyndham hotel property anymore.
