“Fantastic house and an excellent host!!”

We reallly loved this comfortable house.
Having 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms it never was a problem to find a place to be for yourself. And this you need when travelling with two 20-year old son and daughter... ;-)

The kitchen was huge and very well equipped. The bathroom downstairs had a tub and was very big. Offering various shampoos and shower gels you had the feeling of being in a Wellness hotel and not in a rented home.

In the evenings we loved sitting in front of the fireplace.
In the mornings we loved sitting in the TV-room reading a book and enjoying the view.

Fran was extremely helpful. By the way, we were pleasantly surprised when we saw the welcome-muffins on the table. Thanks again for this, Fran. We never had this before in a rented house.

We all loved staying at Cappa house and I truly can recommend it to anyone

“Dream Come True”
Reviewed 28 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Our two weeks at Cappa House were a dream come true. This is a beautifully renovated, spotlessly clean farmhouse with an amazing view of the changing tides of Coulagh Bay. The kitchen is huge and well equipped. Spacious bedrooms made it easy to stay organized, and the comfortable beds contributed to restful sleep. On cool evenings we enjoyed the wood-burning stove. We weren’t traveling with children this time, but there is a closet full of toys and children’s books, along with a large collection of movies and books about the area. The first floor layout of a central living room, sunroom, and separate bedroom with sitting room, and the two upstairs bedrooms, make this a perfect place for multiple generations or two families traveling together. Fran is a warm, gracious host and has thought of everything to make this a great base for walking and hiking the Beara Way.

“A Family Homestay Full of Warmth and Joy”
Reviewed 6 October 2015 for a stay in September 2015

A wonderful family welcomed us to their home and made us feel part of the Irish family. We had good food, comfort, even help with our dirty clothes. The location was on our route around the Beara Way and well located for our walk. The B&B is relatively new and Fran, the host, makes every effort to make you feel at home. Well worth it for however long you stay.

“West Cork & Ring of Beara area”

Booking Cappa House as my home base was the best decision i made, during my 16 days of travel. Over the years I've travelled 27 of the 32 counties and this is the prettiest area by far! The house is 30 minutes from Golf, Shopping, Horseback Riding, Fishing, Cycling, Hiking, Garnish Island (Italian garden), Surfing and many more. Just let Fran know what you'd like to do and she will gladly guide you! Imagine...all with-in 30 minutes! The house is exactly as shown in the photo's. Cappa House is very modern and up to date.

If you are visiting in the summer months, you are bound to find a festival in one of the four nearby towns...all with-in the same 30 minutes and each village has it's own personality. Enjoy lively, traditional Irish music & a few dancers or participate in a set yourself!

Cappa House is suitable for many types of holidays. If you are traveling with children, look under the stairs and you'll find a treasure trove of toys, If you are away for a romantic weekend, the house has wine, champagne & beer glasses, candles, stove & a stunning view!
If you are an explorer, you will find many hiking paths, hot shower and friendly faces in the local pubs. If it's raining, it's time for baking. Fran has the kitchen stocked with every pan, pot, colander (I really thought she would not have that - she had 3!) and utensil you could think of.

Another great thing about this property - no rooster to wake you up at 5am! The cows don't even make a sound until 8am, perfect after one of those nights when you really "got local"!

Before you leave Cappa House I would highly recommend watching the sunset over Beara Bay with your favorite beverage on the slate table, just outside the house - Incredible view!

In the area I would recommend the following restaurants:
Eyeries Village: Rhonwen's Bistro for dinner, Causkey's Pub for drinks, The Shop, Evey Murphy for tea, coffee and homemade cakes - Yum!
Glengarriff: Martello's is a MUST - white cloth service.
Ardgroom - Village Inn; a very relaxing atmosphere.
Allihies - Jimmy's and for the best cone anywhere O'Sullivans Grocery.

You will get the sense that Fran really wants you to enjoy your holiday and will do all she can to ensure it's probability - you don't get that everywhere! Fran is one stop shop, she is professional and fun to be around! She is proud of the area and can recommend contacts for, you to call either before or during your stay.

Cappa House, in many ways had more to offer than my own house - so I never felt homesick.

“A spacious and comfortable house with relaxed homely atmosphere withan excellent quiet walk to the sea.”
Reviewed 14 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Cappa house is a perfect place to relax and feel at home when on holiday. It has an open fire in a spacious living room.A large separate bathroom that is quiet and peaceful. The front rooms including the sunroom provide a great view of the sea. It is a perfect secluded location with a path to the sea from the house. Great for cycling ,hill walking or taking out your boat., but espically good if you would like to bring your dog with you.
