“Much needed R&R after a wet and windy race in Orean Shores”
Reviewed 11 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Moss Landing was exceptional! Sonja was so welcoming, helped me get settled, answered any questions and readily made suggestions to enhance my experience. The cabin was perfect! It was warm, cozy, clean, and quaint! It was my first time to Ocean Shores and I hope to return.

Outstanding!

“Birthday Holiday for Dog and Owner”

It might have been the worst weather on the coast but this cabin made it seem like heaven. Life on board a sailing vessel could never be as nice. The captains bed was so luxurious we had lots of time to cuddle while the wind roared outside and even the chaise coach got cuddle time. We had plenty to keep us occupied with great TV reception and loads of DVDs and wonderful music CDs. The tiny little galley was well stocked with all necessary equipment. We brought along our slow cooker so had great meals ready in the evening along with the wine provided by the owners which was a nice touch. The two burner stove even made quick breakfasts easy. So don't let the terrible weather keep you away. It was romantic even though that was not our primary reason. We were there to spend quality time with the dogs. The wildlife, deer, was quite a surprise for our little furry friends. We all loved watching the waves crashing along the jetty.

We were greeted by Tom and Sonja, and Juneau, and walked to our charming, cozy, beautifully decorated cabin; Captains Quarters. Bed was super comfortable, towels fluffy and absorbent, great water pressure and plenty of hot water, comfortable couch and blanket to wrap up in, nice upscale appliances, coffee for the morning..... It can't get much better. Our only regret is we only stayed one night. I would love to be there for a winter storm, reading a good book on the couch and taking long walks on the beach. Without question, it is the nicest vrbo we have ever stayed in.

We needed to get away from the City for a while and Moss Landing sure was the place! It was so nice and quiet!! The cabin was well equipped for our week stay and the owners were very helpful and friendly. It is a 5 min walk to the beach and 10 minute drive from IGA and all the other shops if you need to go there. The property is dog friendly as well, which made it a lot easier and more convenient for us.
I will definitely stay there again. Maybe next time we can make use of the fire pit and hot tub :)

“Moss Landing a beautiful log cabin nestled close to surf and turf”

My friend and I wanted a spiritual retreat , a get away from the noise and a relaxing place that would allow for a pet.
My friend booked and spoke with Sonja who was so pleasant, kind, giving much information. Even with perfect directions we got lost within Ocean Shores, yes I know! In one phone call to Sonja, she guided us in and personally awaited our arrival. We stayed at the larger front log cabin with adjacent parking. Sonja was so kind, inviting us in with warmth and hospitality to the cabin, and this hospitality and thoughtfulness to guests were clearly demonstrated by the thoughtful touches extended throughout the cabin home. popcorn, hot cocoa, a Sleep Comfort Bed in one of the two bedrooms, a great guest book and a wonderful resource book of where to go, so very helpful. Items to take to the beach, instructions on how to use the hot tub, and this beautiful cabin just a walk down the road from the beach. This log cabin was built with love and care and is inviting, with the fireplace in the well appointed living room, with adjacent table and chairs for comfortable dining, beautiful, well maintained furniture, small kitchen, and the location of this property a gem of surrounding peace. A hot tub on the porch if you so desire, complimentary bottle of wine, how thoughtful, and Sonja, her husband and their precious dog right next door. Please make sure to check out the resource book with the living room, take a ride on the electric boats, ask for a driver, tell them you are staying at Moss Landing for a ten percent discount. While others are visiting the beautiful ocean where you can drive your vehicle right on the sand, or take a horse back ride, you will be enjoying for an hour or so the beautiful canals many never explore or know about, and your personal driver will give you lots of historical information about Ocean Shores, land and animal conservation, and you can bring your own food and pet! There is a great seafood restaurant behind a fish market on the lical drag, sorry, can't remember the name, had the most amazing grilled salmon ever. There is a grocery store in town, so you can pick up some food items to supplement your stay, as there is a small refrigerator best usage for small items and beverages. Utensils, plate ware all for your use, taking the need for securing your own, one less thing to think of, buy and bring.
Back to the beautiful log cabin, two nice sized bedrooms, very clean nice bathroom well stocked with towels, a. Rry nice shower, there is a small galley kitchen convenient and helpful. High beautiful beamed ceiling in living room with fan, and a second story loft with ladder to bring you up, with a full screen t.v. and videos, furniture and a rocking chair, too. Everything kids or adults would love. Weather changes frequently , that is Washington, so dress in layers, check the weather reports. We were so blessed as our two day stay was nothing but joy, great hospitality, beautiful weather and deer!!! Please be careful when you drive as deer were everywhere, they especially come up early morning or evening. We got so many pictures of deer, the ocean, the cabin. our first glimpse of daylight in the cabin was a deer in the back yard of the cabin, what a joy! Turning on the cute fireplace , enjoying the peace, just so serene and was a great time of refreshing. Sonja and her husband have and do pour themselves into these cabins, as these are true places built from love and homes, not just a place to stay. Although every accommodation is afforded to make your pet happy and carefree, please bring your own pet blankets as a courtesy care. and put them on ares your pet will rest. Your pet can use the back area behind the cabin to take care of business. This is such a pet friendly place/area, you can take your dog, and my friend's dog thoroughly enjoyed the retreat as well! This cabin is multi functional from usage for one person, a couple, couple and family, or even two couples and family . This cabin is uniquely designed for maximum use and comfort. Blinds on all windows for privacy and you can open windows for cross ventilation and cool breezes, when weather allows, just adds to the comfort level. We loved our time there, truly were sorry we couldn't spend another day there. A great place to just get away or to get out and explore. Thank you Sonja and your family for far exceeding our needs, and making us feel like family. The pictures you have taken are spot on, and truly you must experience staying there to understand how unique and beautiful Moss Landing is.♡
