While visiting my sister and family in April she suggested we go to the Dog Street Pub for fish and chips. It was a beautiful day and we decided to eat outside. The only table available was one for 6 or more people and we were only 3. One of is handicapped and could not walk any further because it was so hot so we asked the server if we could sit there. She went inside to ask management and came back and said it was fine. Thank you so much DoG St. We all ordered fish and chips. What a good choice that was because they were delicious, really really good. They are served in a basket with 2 large pieces of fish, tasty French fries and lemon slices. Oh Boy they were so good. We grew up in a Scottish town in New Jersey and did not think we would ever find a replica ever. The sun was shining and the Saturday Farmers Market was just closing in the Mall where they offered fresh fish, meats, pastries, veggies etc. every Saturday morning. This was a wonderful day with the Market, the Dog restaurant and the sunshine plus being with family. What could be better. You should visit Williamsburg and the DoG restaurant as it is a wonderful historic place. Every family should visit Colonial Willliamsburg to get recharged on what great men made us the free and beautiful land to live in. .

We all ordered fish and chips. They had a lot of sodas to pick from, but I believe they were all bottled so no free refills. We just had water with our entrees. Food was excellent.

A group of us enjoyed the Opera Carmen across the street at The Kimball theater then came here for an early dinner. The staff was very accommodating and served up good food. I had the bangers and mash. The dish was very tasty, however I would have preferred that it had been heated more. Another diner in our group had the same opinion on this dish.
