History, stories, artifacts, splendor, ... They're all here. The palisades are being restored and the first building (a barracks) had been rebuilt. The first church is evident and several graves have been discovered. This was a fascinating place to visit.

We enjoyed a great visit at Historic Jamestown over Fall Break. The kids really enjoyed the sights and there’s someone that interests everyone.

The grounds are beautiful and the whole experience was insightful. Highly recommend taking the family. Lots of history to be learned and seen.

We had a good time and kids got to see history in real life. It's was a little chilly this time of year but if recommend going later in season when it's a little warmer.

I was really surprised at the improvements made to the historic Jamestown Settlement since our last visit in 2005. This is really a historic destination now with an informative and interactive museum/interpretive center in addition to the settlement itself which has been nicely restored and in some instances recreated (Fort). We especially enjoyed our visit to the Jamestown Glass House to watch blown glass dishes being made as well as the car ride through the Marsh and wetlands. This would be a great place to visit with kids!
