Our stay in the Golden Suite was very comfortable. Loudoun Manor has a lovely, picturesque country setting in Virginia farmland and wine country, but is very close to Dulles Airport. I thought the price was extremely reasonable and had overlooked the fact breakfast was included with the room. Great room - great price - great hostess... I would definitely stay again.
Our brief stay at Loudon Valley Manor could not have been more enjoyable!! The expansive property is impressive! We were warmly greeted by Olga, our delightful Hostess, upon arrival and quickly settled in. She encouraged us to make ourselves comfortable as she led us to 'The Golden Room'. The room is spacious, clean and charmingly furnished, exactly as advertised.
Each morning we were served yummy omelettes with great coffee, juices and an assortment of artisan breads. It was the perfect way to start the day and fuel up for our many adventures.
Loudon County is rich in history. Vineyards sprawl across the landscape and there is lush vegetation on the rolling hills of Catoctin "Mountain". (We're from the West where our mountains range much higher, haha) There are ample recreational opportunities in the area from rafting to hiking, riding horses or bicycles, shopping or just exploring. There is a brewery, "Dirt Farm", nearby with tasty brews and stunning views.
We are most certainly enchanted with the region and are eager to return. When we do, Loudon Valley Manor will be our haven and headquarters.
Was there recently with my wine club to check out the local wineries and vineyards. We rented the whole house. I stayed in the golden room. It looks exactly like the picture. The house is spacious. There was 18 people in my party and we never felt cramped. Olga (the owner) was gracious and patient. I know we got a little noisy after a day of wine tasting. She never complained. She made omelets and coffee each morning. The house and grounds were immaculate. I would definitely stay again.
We stayed at this fairly new Inn over the weekend while on a quick get-away to wine country. The house and grounds are beautiful, and the host Olga is delightful and made us feel very welcome. Our room was quite large, very comfortable and was decorated with some fascinating paintings - ask Ms. Olga to tell you their story! There are many cozy sitting areas both within the house and around the large grounds, allowing for private sitting and conversations. The location is also secluded but conveniently situated in the wine country... a 10 minute drive to Purcellville and 15 minute drive to Leesburg, so plenty of good dining options and wineries to drive to. We look forward to our next visit!
