From the moment we walked in we felt relaxed in this almost quaint dining room.
The service was friendly, the food delicious, and the table setting different.
The menu provided a range of choice, and the "plating" appetizing.

The ambience in the place was really nice and interesting décor. Décor fitting to an older Hotel but all the mod cons as well.

Arranged a birthday surprise for a family member. Nothing was too much trouble. Dined in the bar on the night of an All Black test and asked and received the best seats in the house. I supplied a cake which they kept chilled overnight and brought it out at the appropriate time. Staff very friendly and food delicious and presented well. Lovely atmosphere.

A few weeks ago, My husband, 3 friends and myself had the pleasure of attending a Giesen wine and food evening at the Swan.
We were seated by the open fire in the elegant dining room and were wowed by stunning dish after dish, accompanied by lovely wines.
I was under the impression leading up to the evening that they would be small 'taster' sized dishes with the main focus being on the wine, but no, we were treated to 4 decadent, generously sized courses, presented beautifully with perfect timing, especially considering the full dining room was served all at once.
The Giesen ladies were great speakers and very informative.
So we just had to order a box of the Pinot Gris.
I still can't believe the value for money or decide which course I preferred as they were all simply to die for.

Superb large room. The 3-course dinner was to die for. Friendly and helpful staff. A great weekend away from home.
