White Rock is one of the wild places on the Wairarapa coast that only locals know about, and even then rarely ever go. The scenery there - and indeed on the drive out - is enough to give you a deep-down dose of New Zealand beauty. Go, bring gumboots and food, and be respectful of both farmers' land and of the power of the sea. Bring your camera. And maybe a change of clothes in case you get an accidental soaking!
