Lovely room, staff great, great food, perfect relaxation getaway.
Quiet and peaceful escape, nice cafés and shops in area. So quiet you feel like your in the middle of no where. Crank up the fireplace and order room service. Bliss.

Peppers is a wonderful little hotel , rooms are very luxurious and very spacious, breakfasts and dinners wonderful and tennis lots of fun, pool could be heated and tv reception a bit poor but otherwise the hotel is one of our favorite near Wellington

Fabulous place. We came for the fireplace and private spa, and we enjoyed the whole package with the lovely rooms in the secluded cottage. All very well appointed and set out. Though we were amused and slightly dismayed when calling reception to take up the offer in our room to order from the pillow menu, and were told they didn't know what we were talking about. Although they made an attempt to track down our order of an aromatherapy pillow, they didn't have one. So I think they probably shouldn't have pillow menus in the room that are just for show. It would also be nice to see facilities for recycling. The standard bathroom message purported a commitment to helping the environment, but despite having kitchen facilities there was no recycling bin, so that seemed like another case of hollow lip service. Breakfast in the morning was great.

This place is a little gem. Perfect for that romantic get away with that special someone. The rooms are lovely and private and set amongst a tranquil back drop of New Zealand countryside. My only little niggle is that the DVD player stopped working after we used it once. Would highly recommend this place and look out for bargains on booking.com. The beds are amazing! They lady at front desk is nice as well as all the staff we encountered. The young man who worked as the waiter was exceptional and obviously takes pride in his work.
