Prawns were to die for and duck stunning too. Great vibe. With just the right level of attentiveness

We had high hopes here but sadly all three of us were disappointed. Some waitresses slightly arrogant, especially when you asked a question about some of the food, which was surprising as most NZ staff were wonderful hosts. The plate of food didn't seem to match the description on the menu, which is odd . The king salmon looked and tasted smoked but there was no mention of this on the menu - it wasn't a pleasant taste. The dauphinoise potatoes were plain and boring with no taste or sight of any cream. A disappointing evening all round,.

We had heard great reports but a bit of a disappointment. Tiny wines by the glass but expensive. Bottled wines over the top prices so didn’t bother. The food was good, well cooked but nothing spectacular. Will I be back? Probably not.

We went to Pinocchio on the recommendation of some locals and were not disappointed. We both had the salmon which was really tasty and nicely presented. The additional side salad we ordered went down very well too.

The staff were polite and efficient and welcoming. We would definitely go again.

We visited Pinocchio on Sunday night of Waitangi weekend. We had heard about it from many sources and we were delighted with the experience.

Started with sharing coconut prawns entree - yum, should have had one each! For mains we had chicken and duck - beautiful accompaniments! Everything was so magnificent we had to do dessert too. Berries and chocolate terrine - both heavenly.

Service was good - moved us around when it started getting chilly outside.
