To start with the positives Can Pastilla is a fab place with great beach and fab places to eat. It is 10min from the airport and about 20min on bus to Palma city.
Bari hotel is just 100m from beach and main area.
Now the hotel, upon our arrival the owner saw us arriving in our taxi and walked away and never offered to help us with our bags. We found this very strange that the owner wouldn't offer assistance with luggage for two ladies.
On entering the hotel it was lovely and cool so we thought "great there's AC", how wrong were we. We were then informed that we would have to leave the key of room every time we left the hotel. The owner seemed a bit obsessed with this and was there to take the key each time we left.
Now the room. We had a twin room it was TINY and the en suit bathroom was old with a shower from 1960 which needs updating and just a curtain that was too short. The room was so warm with no A/C, we had to hire a fan for 15euro.The room we had was number 19 and looks onto old bars with music playing all night. The TV is the size of a laptop which we didn't use as we were out a lot. The towels and bedding are very old and need replacing.
The room was cleaned daily but still smelt old and musty as did rest of hotel.
There was an older lady also doing reception duty she seemed to also do cleaning duty.
We didn't eat breakfast here as the idea of being served a bread roll and orange juice in a plastic cup was just not happing. As an adult I'm capable of picking my own bread roll and pouring my own orange juice.
Bari hotel is more hostel than hotel and it seems wrong to call it a hotel in fact it's a bit of a cheek.
On check out the owner couldn't care less and never even said goodbye or thank you.
My advice to him would be stop treating people like children and spend some cash on that "hotel" of his
