Arrived early on a Sunday and had not expected to check in. However, it took a long time and I asked several times when the room would be ready. They promised to call when the room was ready. At 3pm I went to the reception when we heard nothing. Then the room was ready.
The room was disappointing as it was extremely small to be a double room in a 4 star hotel. Missing hooks to hang clothes. Clothing storage was enough for just one person.
The safe cost 21 Euro for one week.

The balcony was also small and needed to store their suitcases that barely fit in the room.

In the bathroom there was no storage for toiletries etc.

Enough of the negative and the positive was that there was very good cleaning in the rooms. Clean and nice in the hotel. The breakfast very good. Staff very nice and always had a smile.

We can recommend the hotel as it is well located near the beach, restaurants and bus to Palma.

I booked this through ba.com and took a gamble based on the tripadvisor reviews.
Proximity to the airport in a taxi (15 euros) was 10 minutes - super quick.The hotel was great. The single room although small had a large balcony and lovely bathroom with powerful shower. All mod cons in the room with nice touches like GB channels on the tv stations and good air-conditioning. The rooms were cleaned every day and kept spotless. The breakfast was fantastic - really well stocked with a huge variety to choose from including a hot plate with fried eggs and omelettes to order. the only niggle in the room was that the fridge didn't keep things that cold but was big enough for me in terms of holding bottles of water, juice etc. Also there were 12 hangers which, again for me, was fine. There was a case stand in the room too which was very useful. The wifi was fantastic. Although being close to the airport with planes taking off I personally didn't have any problem with this. The hotel is a 6 minute walk to the beach front and a 5 minute walk to Spar and another supermarket in the other direction. Beach towels are provided by the hotel and can be changed by the pool each day - which was marvellous. On check-out main reception called a cab which arrived 5 minutes later. I loved it and have booked to return in June 2020.

This hotel suits us well. Quiet & comfortable with welcoming and friendly staff. The food for breakfast at the Amfora and for dinner at the Apollo were excellent, with plenty of choice - though the labelling of food could be improved. .It is convenient for the harbour, the town, the beach and coastal walk to Palma. The bus to Palma and the airport is close, The only minor issue was that the fridge in the room did not work, I did use the swimming pool, it was very cold!
We love this area and hope to return to the Amfora in the Spring.
