I wanted to spend the Christmas in Spain (partly because I wanted some sunshine and warmth) and decided to stay here based on recommendations and its friendly budget. Had a late flight and got into the hotel from the airport in about 10mins, ride cost was about €15. Check in was smooth and easy, I was assigned room 407 which was the last floor (perfect I thought as I’ll have a great view of Palma from my balcony).
However, on my way up (I decided to walk the stairs) I noticed there was some sort of repair on the roof or ceiling and although it was wrapped with tarpaulin, I still felt they could have done better. Room was spacious and well arranged, the view was simply awesome. I liked the fact that pulling my curtains back, I had an unrestricted view of the street. However, my beddings still had traces of female hair probably from the last occupant. The hair seemed to reappear regardless of how many times it was cleaned. Well, I wasn’t pissed so I didn’t report the occurrence.
Breakfast in the morning was great with a variety of dishes and the symbolic Mallocan orange (you should try this). Lots of spas, shops around the area, there is a bus station close by that has buses going to almost everywhere on the island. The beach was a 4mins walk and although it was quite empty, no thanks to the celebrations, I enjoyed going every morning to catch the sunrise.
Hotel staffs were friendly, courteous and really nice. The young lady at the desk showed me where I could get really good kebabs for cheap as almost every other kebab shop had closed (it was 24th December). Check out time was 11am but my flight was until 9pm, they offered to help me keep my bags and a bathroom to shower when I was ready to leave, I was awed.
Loved every penny I spent on this hotel. Gracias Balear.
