Rosemary and I spent five nights in Roc Linda at the beginning of August. The hotel foyer was bright and airy and the desk staff were quite efficiant and friendly, the female member of the reception staff was particularly helpful and good at her job. The room had a nice view over the swimming pool and the airconditioning was A1. Although quite adequate, the room wasn't in anyway salubrious and it costs five euro per day for a fridge. There was no entertainment at all in the hotel but there was plenty of restaurants and nice little bars nearby. Check out 7 Machos Mexican Bar. The food in the hotel I must say was excelent with a great selection which was replenished continuosly. Saturday night had a great selection of seafood with fresh mussels and baked whiting which was also fresh and cooked to perfection. Wedensday night the chef was frying lamb chops and you could have them cooked just as you like them, the chef was always cooking something out front in the dining area from pancakes to eggs and of course the said lamb chops. One other nice touch in the dining room was the microwave which we rarely see in hotel dining rooms.We really like our food piping hot and most hotels may think that it is admitting that the food is not being served at the perfect tempreture but everyone has different tastes and preferences so for us it was great. The waiting staff were also good at their job, being both proffessional and pleasent. I would reccomend this hotel and would return, Joe,

I stayed in this hotel for 7 nights on a half board basis with my mother and 4 year old daughter. The hotel was perfect for a relaxing break. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, in particular the restaurant staff. The food was always delicious and there was something for all our needs, with a good variety. The room and facilities were spotlessly clean. There was a small pool for children, which was very useful, alongside a bigger pool. The beach was only a short 5-10 minute walk. The bus to palma was across the road and I really enjoyed renting a bike and cycling the 40 minutes to palma, there was a cycle path all of the way. The resort of can pastilla had plenty of bars and restaurants and wasnt too busy or too quiet.The hotel was extremely good value for money and I look forward to returning in the future.

We checked in late, not wanting more just to sleep.
When i opened up the bed the bed sheet was wrinkled, obvioisly was not changed neither checked before new guests. As a first impression was not really nice, anyway we got a another room.
In the new room towels had holes and shower curtain was broken. Dont think it is standard...

The restaurant staff was friendly and fast. Food was also good.

After this first impression we got even worst last impression.
At the last dinner lady behind my mum pushed my mum who had burning hot soup in her plate.
She ended up with the soup on her hand.
She went to the ladies room, to cool down her hand under running cold water, while i tried to get something for her hand from reception.
Receptionist said they have nothing?!?!?! for her in their first aid kit.
I know very well that they cannot give out pain killer or antibiotics, but a cream or spray any of this for burn. As hotel has kitchen they must have something for this case?! Or Hotel manager send out chefs too pharmacy as he did to me???
In the hotel someone has to have first aid traning and be able and willing to help.
Because sending a guest to keep her burned hand under running water and the daughter to pharmacy is Not help nor service.
Not to mention the soup was not cleaned up from the floor while we were there neither a sign to warn guests, which was a big risk for another accident.
Hotel manager was standing appr. 3 meters from the soup spot, obvioisly he saw too....
I was in shock how hotel manager handled this situation. Far below expectations.
I write this review hoping improvement will happen for the new guests.
