Staying in a hotel just outside of the “5 towns” is better value and just as easy to get to the towns by train. If you are doing the walking tour, then I would look into that as I’m not familiar as to whether you go and come back or go and move hotels as you go? This hotel was very well located just a short walk from the Mediterranean, a main park, restaurants, and shopping. Also, a 10 minute walk to the train station where we went to get to “Cinque Terre”. It is family-owned and operated with a lovely sitting room, breakfast room and outdoor patio. Parking is a quick walk outside and around the corner (extra charge but worth it). The room was a good size, our bed a bit hard, but a nice-sized bathroom and big windows that had incredible views of the surrounding hills; churches and local neighbourhood.

Friendly and helpful - we had lots of tips about the trains and the walking. Lovely location in town, with pretty garden for breakfast and five minutes walk from the sea.
Room was small bbut clean and comfortable and we had no trouble with noise. The roof terrace is lovely.
Great breakfast choices.

Well located hotel in the center of Levanto.
We were lucky getting a newly renovated room, very nice bathroom and shower facility.
Breakfast was OK with the basics you need.
Good location to visit all small villages by foot, train or boat!

I wanted to give this a higher rating due to the friendly service however due to the poor sleep I couldn't.

Rooms: The walls were very thin. We had some neighbours who were very excited and were squealing and carrying on all night. Not good sleep for us or our child. The room was very small and the shower minute. I think this is probably the norm for Cinque Terre though. The decor was dated.

Service: Lovely people on the front desk

Location: The location was pretty good. Close to the beach, train station, restaurants and shops.

Parking: Parking is close by and is secured.

Breakfast: great variety

I stayed there with a large group and we were easily accommodated. The location is great because it is within walking distance to the train station, most restaurants and most importantly, to the beach with it's beautiful sunsets. A few cons though: we went after Oct. 1st and while it was still very warm the hotel had shut down their air conditioner that worked in all rooms. I was told to "open the windows". As our room backed up to a large square filled with very children before 10PM and noisy people after 10PM, it was hard to have a quiet time. I was told by friends whose rooms faced the front of the hotel that the noise level was even worse because of workers and traffic. Also, I found the beds very hard and not so easy on sleep on. The room was spacious and kept very clean. The family who owns and works t here were very helpful as well.

Room Tip: Noise level high when windows open. Once closed, the level dropped considerably.
