Found this little gem by accident but what a nice surprise! The view from this location is very nice and the fact that the church is quite simple (for a catholic church) makes it a quite positive experience.. Just enter, keep silent and enjoy...

It's modest and nice place for short visit. standing almost on the sea and it was the first place we visited when we came to Forio. It looks good when the sun goes down.

This little church is so modest compared to the magnificent churches we visited on Ischia and nearby. But it's lovely, so quiet and peaceful. As for the setting, it's just unique. If you are lucky you will see it dressed in white flowers for a wealthy wedding. It featured in the film Avanti one of my favourites so it had a special meaning.

Visited Forio on a trip of the Island, a lovely little church, its history is that it is one of the 10 oldest churches in the whole of Italy wow, the view was great from the top of the steps. It was not adorned too much, but that showed it's age. A good visit and liked Forio too. I could have spent 2-3hrs in Fario easily, but the church half hour most, so small.

This simple modest church was built right on top of the sea and it is one of the best locations for sunset watching on the island. I would also recommend walking on the quay beneath the church, but only if the waves are not high, otherwise you'll get wet.
