Having a simple salad and the past of the day with local red wine was great. On way to Velia Ruins we stopped for lunch and we were not disappointed. Great bread, wonderful olive oil and a broad menu of antipasto and pizza as well as full lunch meal with pastas and second plates. Our pasta with shrimp and tomato was wonderfully and light. One can walk from here to the ruins just behind the restaurant.
