We stayed here for a week. We booked a superior room but to be honest there was not much difference between this and the other rooms. Standard rooms were just as nice. Beds were very comfortable, rooms clean and spacious. Our room faced the front of the hotel and it was very noisy outside so we didn't actually sit out on the balcony. We enjoyed the breakfast, lovely selection of hot croissants, cakes, cereals, quiche so plenty to choose from. The hotel is in a great location, a 5 minute walk to the sea front. The pool is freezing and the spa, which was quite pricey, is situated across the road. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn't have dinner in the hotel. We would definitely stay here again. You can catch a ferry or a bus to Amalfi where you change and take a ferry to Capri. Local buses are very reasonable and go to various places along the coast. We visited Positano, Ravello, Amalfi and Maiori all really lovely. Each town has little shops tucked away behind the seafront, cobbled streets with loads of ceramic and linen shops to name a few. We had an action packed week! It's also possible to visit Pompeii, we caught a bus to Vietri Sul Mare and then a train to Pompeii. Our friends planned on visiting Sorrento but the road was closed that day. The local beach also have a variety of little cafes where you hire sun beds for 10 Euros for the day. Lemoncello spritzer is a must from Susy bar!

Hotel reception and foyer area very aesthetically appealing. Nice clean good size room with ensuite & very comfortable bed. Breakfast was plentiful with a good selection located in a welcoming restaurant area. All the hotel staff were courteous and helpful. Swimming pool area was nice and very neatly presented. Take earplugs to avoid the noisy mopeds that whizz around the local area if you are on a room overlooking the street.

Room Tip: Hotel Ratings - service 4, cleanliness 5, and sleep quality 4 (interactive score buttons above were not responsive to my clicks)

The hotel was the base for a week long tour holiday around the Amalfi coast. The hotel is conveniently situated in the centre of Minori, and is a 2 minute walk to the beach and shops/restaurants. However, the majority of rooms face a narrow street, so traffic noise can be a little intrusive if the shutter doors are left open. At night, the shutter slats can be fully shut and the curtains do a good job of eliminating the majority of noise.
Our room was clean and comfortable, if a little basic, but towels were changed daily and the room was always made up to a high standard each day.
The hotel has a Spa in an adjacent building, but there was very limited information about it - the rooms only had a single sheet of A4 paper detailing basic hotel services. A better guest information paper with more detailed information would have been a nice touch. Access to the Spa also includes access to the hotel's private beach area. However, the price per person is fixed, so you end up paying the same amount regardless of how much, or how little, time is spent using the facilities. The logo'd towels provided by the hotel to take down to the beach were too small for their intended purpose. Taking a face flannel from the room would have been more effective....
As we were on a half board basis, we had breakfast and dinner at the hotel. The breakfast itself was average in both the selection of items and quality, The coffee (either in filter form or from the dispensing machine) was a disappointment. Dinner in the evening was a bit hit and miss, with some really good dishes. Unfortunately, there were also some rather bad dishes - so much so, that our tour guides had to discuss the quality of the food with hotel management - that said, by the end of our stay, we did notice an improvement in the food. Otherwise, the restaurant service was polite, friendly and attentive.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel if you're staying in the Minori area. It represents good value, considering the location and surrounding coastline.

We stayed here a few days. The rooms are comfortable and beds excellent.
Breakfast could have be better, although you have a wide range of choices it tast very “flat”.

The location of the hotel is just beside the noisy part of town, hence limited issues, but on walking distance of all facilities

During my recent week long holiday on the Amalfi Coast I stayed in the Villa Romana, first impressions were good the Hotel was in a good location just a 10 min walk from the sea front and shops ect. The rooms along with the rest of the Hotel were well decorated and clean, staff were friendly spoke good English which made things a little easier as my Italian was very basic. My room (260) was located at the rear overlooking the garden and pool, rooms at the front had balconies mine did not, had heard from people who had rooms at the front saying these were quite noisy as they located on the main road leading to the sea front and suffered from traffic noise. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom a good size.Breakfast had a good selection of food and drinks which should suit most tastes. However the evening meal sadly let the Hotel somewhat as the menu was not that varied consisting of choice of starters and a meal which alternated between Fish and meat followed by choice of desserts, this I felt let the Hotel down slightly.

Room Tip: Rooms at the rear tend to be quieter.
