This hotel is right at the park entrance, and convenient to the toll road.

Rooms were large and very clean, with all the basics covered, but not particularity charming. Some rooms have great mountain or valley views from the balcony. Some parts of the building are served by a lift. The free Internet worked well. The tiled floors were spotless but could be noisy depending on your upstairs neighbours. No hair dryer. Bathrooms small but functional and again very clean, large people might have trouble with the small shower. Hot water was abundant and pressure good. No road noise whatsoever.

Breakfast was fine. We did not try the restaurant.

The 70 euro rate seemed pretty fair.

The hotel is really simple and even spartan. However it is clean and the owners are very nice and welcoming.
However, the restaurant in which we ate in the evening was superb. The broschettas were perfect. The mixed antipasti was wonderful and the pasta, oh the past! we had two different home made pastas. Cooked to perfection - al dente, and seasoned just comme ils faut. No exess of tases. Just right. I can't remember the last time we had such great pasta dishes! The dessert, a black chocolate ball, a mix of chocolate moose and chocolate ice cream, superb.
And the prices. You feel it's a steal. Well after 3 days in Roma you get used to overpriced low quality restaurant. And here is a place, serving great simple food at haf or even less price.
Not too many tourists come to assergi, but if you happen to be there, go eat in the ristorante of Hotel Giampy.

Here is why Giampy is good:

People are nice and it's very close (walking distance) to the LNGS labs

Why is Giampy not good:

REALLY expensive for what it is: we paid 90euros for a room with 2people per night.
Beds were pretty awful.
Only part of the hotel is accessible via elevator, so if your room is in the part without elevator, you kill your back in the tiny staircase carrying your luggage.
Food is expensive and really not that good.
Rooms are pretty uncomfortable and not so well furnished.
Bathrooms are tiny.

So all in all, a typical italian hotel.
